What kind of shoes will you wear on your wedding?

I imagines in my weddings, I will wear a pair of pink high-heeled shoes. There would be a lots of white pearls and beads on them. They are shining and pure, the shoes are also shining and pure. I will be shining and pure too. That will be amazing!

Yes, @KMB, where did you get those wedges from? I have been looking for yellow wedges for my girls to wear with their black dresses and have been pretty unsuccessfull. I have been trying to find a pair of ivory wedges that still are sexy for myself.

I love my blue sparkly shoes!! i originally didn't want anything too high, but with the way the front is and the back strap. I'm good to go! Plus they have a rubber sole so I won't be sliding around everywhere! haha

I thought about knee high moccasins, but I just don't have the time or money to assemble them. I thought about a new pair of boots, too, but again, expensive!!!

So, I pulled out a pair of boots that I had not worn in a while. My Daddy bought them for me... I think it's the last pair he bought me. The pic is a little dark (aside from my white legs... can you believe my father was a half blood Indian???) but they are a light pink on top and distressed leather on the bottom, square toed with a saddle over the top. We're getting married at a ranch, so I found them fitting. Plus, it's a little piece of Dad Smiley winking

@Miranda those boots are so cute! And I love that your dad got them for you. I was originally thinking moccasin boots to, but I think it would have been an issue to get the garter off and I didn't want to deal with lacing them up. So flat mocs it is!

Ugh, girl, I don't even want to THINK about the garter... 1) it's going to be a struggle, 2) I KNOW FH is going to plot something...

Maybe I'll wear spurs and tell him he can't take the garter off cause it'll get caught in the spur rowels Smiley winking TEEHEE

I think all or most of the wedding party is wearing boots. It was one of the first questions my MOH had... "Can I wear my boots with my dress??"

Since DH is only but maybe 4" taller than me, I had a hard time finding short-ish heels in the specific blue color I was looking for :[. I eventually came across these though & loved them! They were everything in my criteria & the bottom of the shoe has a blue sole [unfortunately don't have any pictures of that]! I wore them the whole night & plan to eventually dye them like black or red or something to get more use of these.

This is really daring for me, because I dont wear heels and have never been too fond of them, but I am barely five feet tall so I thought I could use the extra two inches.... I got them at payless. I am considering wearing sandals for the ceremony because there are tree roots, rocks and sticks I have to walk over part of the way.

What do you think? Sandals for the ceremony? Maybe those kinds with the slight lift so it wont interfere with dress alterations? Advice?

If you're not used to heels, I'd DEFINITELY say sandals for the ceremony. I haven't worn heels in a while because of my knee problems, and I opted out of the granny boots I originally wanted because they all have some sort of heel that would likely cause me to fall. The ceremony will be on a concrete slab - the gathering area outside the chapel - but walking from the ceremony area over to the pavillion for our reception will be tricky in heels... it's grass and sand and longhorn flop.

I'll be in flats! My fiance is an inch taller than me (two if you ask him) so in heels I'm always taller than him. Fine on dates, not so much on my wedding day. My colors will most likely be navy blue and orange (our favorite colors, respectively) so my shoes will be navy and I'm putting orange flowers in my hair.

I wanted to have cowboy boots since we are having an outdoor nature wedding and I love country, but my wedding had evolved a lot. It's still an outdoor nature wedding, but ballet flats fit the theme a lot better.

I found a pair on etsy that are PERFECT: ivory silk with lace on top, beading all over, perfect shape, and (the best part) laces tied up the leg!

OMG I love this thread, so many great shoes. Ronica - I love those Louboutin's! I think I'm going to do both of these. Purple to match my girls' dresses and for pics, then the other for the reception when I may change into a party dress. Heels don't bother me at all so comfort doesn't play a big role, I just love sparkle!
