Just to clarify...our ceremony & reception are indoors, I just want pictures outside.

We're doing everything outside n so many people say it's a mistake what if it rains.... To them I say so it rains then I could get uber cute rain photos and maybe a rainbow Smiley smile Our only rain plan is umbrellas, and all sit in the shelter if it rains too hard lol

We got married outside, but the reception was at the same place-- if it'd rained, we would have just moved the ceremony down to the reception hall.

We are supposed to be having our ceremony on a rooftop deck at a sports museum with the Chicago skyline in the background (on the same day as yours--hope the finishing touches are going well!). If it rains, we have to get married on the second floor, in front of Mario Andretti's race car. I'm not kidding.

I could order draping the day before probably if it looks like it will rain, but I don't think we really have the money for it, and plus it will be less memorable than a race car. I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope it doesn't rain.

What area are you in? Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Not sure where you're getting married, but umbrellas are cool if you buy different colors! Or maybe see if the venue allows a backup tent to use! We've photographed outdoor weddings and only had one rain! So good luck with the weather!

Our ceremony is outdoors, weather permitting. but there is a space that we can use just in case of rain - i will cry if we have to use it though! its ugly!!

My mother thinks I am crazy when I tell her that I don't care if it rains. I see no superstition or symbolism in it. We are taking pictures outside, but they can be moved inside if it rains: no biggie.

I was watching a Bridezilla episode, the bride reply regarding the rain was "My guests will just be baptized" our wedding is indoors but if it rains and an old fashion umbrella being held by the limo driver over my head & the BP will be holding up my train.

Nope that won't work, I don't want a wet BP.

I need a moment to think about it, I'm not sure yet.

Our ceremony is outdoors weather permitting if not they will have a separate room for my ceremony inside that is very nice. I was worried about this with other venues especially that the back up was not as nice as the outdoor area. I really got lucky with my venue.

I think the umbrellas will make for nice pics! Don't stress it I know easier said then done. Good Luck!

I'm already planning on it raining and I'll probably be taking pictures in the rain. I warned my MOH that her husband might be granted the duty of carrying around a patio umbrella, because my dress is too big and a golf umbrella would be too small.

It was cloudy most of the day on my wedding day and it began to mist and drizzle just two hours before the ceremony. It didn't down right rain until later that night. But the venue has an outdoor loggia (like a lanai) that's used an alternative to rain. The ceremony was still outside, just not in the open. My photographer told us not to worry about the drizzle...we still took photos outside. It wasn't too bad either.

I suggest you stalk your local weather. Weather.com kept saying it was a 30% chance of rain when it was actually 60% based on the local weather.
