What is the proper naming etiquette for two maid of honors in the wedding program?

Brady, on March 18, 2023 at 11:02 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Hi, if we have two maid of honors, what should we list them as in the wedding program? Should it be "Maids of Honor" or "Maid of Honors?" Or would it be uncommon to list a Maid of Honor and a Sister of the Bride, before the Bridesmaids.

The standard form for your choices is: Maids of Honor.

The correct grammar is Maids of Honour. Maid of Honours isn't a thing.

If you're listing them individually, I'd have it:

    Jane - Maid of Honor

    Sara - Maid of Honor

    Katie - Bridesmaid

    etc.

If you're listing them in groups, I'd have it:

Jane & Sara - Maids of Honor

    Katie, etc. - Bridesmaids

It would be “Maids of Honor” grammatically. Since there’s two ladies, there’s two maids.
