What goes with color purple?

I've been thinking about wedding colors, and FS mentioned it would be nice to have purple flowers, so it got me thinking about using purple as one of the colors for the wedding. Lmao. I saw the title of your thread "What goes with color purple?" and couldn't help thinking...POPCORN. I really loved that movie. Of course I love Whoopie in just about anything she's in. hahaha

I like purple with brown and green accents, if you want to do like an earthy or rustic theme.

Green goes great with purple! But it's a balancing act. Mint green goes well with dark purple/eggplant. And emerald green goes well with lavender. Pick your purple first and then find green as a compliment. Or the other way around if ya like.

I love purple, I usually wear something purple every day.

One word of caution. Purple can tend to "disappear" in photos. So, if your venue has a dark background, you may want to go with a lighter shade of purple.

I had planned to do dark/deep purple, orange and a bit of maroon thrown in. Was a sunset theme, still may be awesome some day (we just decided to elope and get it over with)

We are planning on doing black/ivory with purple and silver as the accent colors. We both love the purple and silver so they have to be there somewhere and they will be there in the flowers, the invites and anywhere else we can put them.

I had purple (all shades) with aqua and it was really pretty. Purple and orange was my runner up color combo.

For a vintagey look, you could combine plum and periwinkle (which is a little grayish).

Wow thank you all so much for your advice and suggestions! I'm loving the green paired up with it, and silver. I also like the red with it, they are all very nice combinations! Thank you so much everyone! Smiley smile
