What do you think of when you think Memphis, TN?

You can never go wrong with keychains or magnets. Maybe you can even find some sort of guide/booklet about Memphis. Another cool thing might be to go around and take pics of your and your FH favorite places/hobbies/interets and create little mini-albums.

Well the obvious is Elvis, but that's just too tacky. When I thin of Memphis I think of the pyramid, the shopping, blues music (hit the road Jack,lol), historic buildings, the river and river boat, warmer weather, Memphis in May, Beale Street. I am not from Memphis but I did grow up quite close in Jonesboro, Ar. Hope it helps at least a little.

I think of the song walking in Mephis, blues, early southern rock like Elivis, Jonny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Sun Rocords and of course Mephis bbq. I think hot steamy southern charm.

My mom grew up there and I used to visit when I was little. I always rememeber the BBQ. Sorry not much help. Most of the things I think of are personal to me. My brother went to college there at Rhodes so I think of that!

ELVIS for sure! Sun Records, cotton- since it is the cash crop of the mid-south Blues, the river, paddle boats, bbq, beale st., mud island, Millington, even though the base is gone now

Memphis is a great town... BBQ to die for and the home of the Blues. Maybe there are some little gifts from a place like BB King's club?

We live here in Memphis. You could always get bottles of BBQ sauce from Interstate BBQ, dry rub, etc. Another great gift idea is coffee beans from Cheesecake Corner (they are whole beans and specially ordered). You could also make mix CDs with various songs inspired by Memphis or by Memphis artists. Cheers!
