What bad dreams do you have about your wedding?

Mostly my dreams are about me not fitting my dress. It always starts with my family waking me up telling me it's my wedding day and me in shock because yesterday was March 2nd and now all of a sudden it became August over night. Then I go to put my dress on but it's to small and won't fit over my hips so my bridesmaids help me put it on over my head but then the dress won't zip.

I just had a dream last night that I was walking down the aisle and suddenly realized that I forgot to write my vows and ended postponing the entire thing right then and there. My FH husband had a dream a few nights ago where we were at our venue the day of the wedding and realized that we forgot to send out invitations so he was literally at the altar sending out texts and emails to all of our guest hoping that they'd be attend.

Our wedding is still a year away so I can only imagine what type of dreams we'll have as we get closer haha

I have so many dreams about crazy things happening during the wedding. Last week I had a dream about not having enough time to do my make up or hair.


Another night I had a dream about not getting my alterations done in time, but in my dream for whatever reason the dress was like wayyyyy off and I unzipped the bag and it looked like my dress was from the 70s and was baggy haha. but in reality my dress basically fits me perfectly and all I really need is a hem.

I had a dream, about 3-4 months before our wedding, that we forgot to buy wedding bands. In my dream, we were about to walk down the aisle when I realized "omg we don't have any wedding bands", freaked out, and postponed the wedding until we could get some lol. As soon as I woke up, I told my now wife we were going wedding band shopping that weekend!

So I haven’t had any nightmares yet (I guess because my wedding date is still pretty far out) but my bridesmaid said that a week ago she had one where she 1) forgot her dress and had to improvise an outfit 2) somehow lost the rings & 3) that the wedding was for some reason in Arizona in the summer and everyone was sweating really badly (even though I’m definitely not getting married in that state or in that season 😂)

I’ve had nightmares about forgetting my dress, my bridesmaids dress ripping, a hurricane on my wedding day, and all kinds of absolutely bonkers stress dreams.

I've had one where I forgot to send out invitations so no one was there. Another where I forgot to book hair and makeup and one where I forgot my dress

I haven't had any bad dreams about this wedding. I had a recurring dream while I was planning my 1st wedding. I dreamed that I was walking down the aisle towards my fiance and the priest. I reached the end of the aisle and my fiance turned to me and his face had no features. It was just an oval blur. Looking back, that dream was a pretty accurate warning that I wish I'd paid more attention to.

I had my first one in February. We were taking pictures before the ceremony when someone mentioned to me that they had no clue where the place cards were. My FH and I look at each other in a panic because we left them at home. We live 1.5 hours away from the venue.

I was so thankful it was just a dream!

I just had my first wedding day nightmare...

My dress wasn't my dress and didn't fit, my hair/makeup was being done by my mom for some reason, my shoes were huuuuge on me, I had no idea where the bridesmaids and groomsmen were or what they looked like in their outfits, and we were running late. Thankfully it was a dream but it got me stressed out lol.

I dreamt my fiancé proposed to me on a Monday, and by Wednesday he dumped me and called off the wedding. I also dreamt that I found my wedding dress all alone, without my mom or maid of honor with me 😅 only 18 months to go!!! Lol

I had a dream that I woke up late on my wedding day and was rushing to get ready because it was past the ceremony expected time. I remember my mom and sisters screaming their lungs out for me to wake up and telling me that my fiancé was leaving because I didn't show up. It was absolutely horrific.😞 I had another dream the dress didn't fit and when I tried forcing it in I tore the whole buttons in the back and I broke down saying I was not going to get married anymore 😂

I had another dream I was walking down the aisle and tripped on the steps in front of everyone and I scrapped my face. My dad helped me up and I realized my dress had blood and I ran to the mirror and saw the cut and blood and ran out on everyone. 😅 Lol really getting more anxious as the time gets closer.

I had a dream our musicians played the wrong song while I was walking down the aisle. Fh and I are both musicians so music is extreme important and intentional for us.


Just last night I had a dream he gave me an engagement ring and it was the ugliest thing I'd ever seen. Like he knows my style and this wasn't something a little kid would wear.

I had a dream a few nights ago that 12 extra guests showed up unannounced and we wanted them to stay but didn't have enough chairs or plates.

A sampling of wedding nightmares (we get married next Saturday):

1. I booked everything for the 28th but had it written down for the 27th and sent invites for the 27th. Arrived at the venue and it was completely locked, etc, because why would anyone be there?

2. Our completely gluten free cake and catering was suddenly full of gluten everywhere because they didn't have that on the order (note: our baker is 100% gluten free so the cake literally cannot have gluten)

3. I get covid the day before the wedding/my completely vaccinated fiance gets covid symptoms the morning of the wedding

4. A grandparent/family member who isn't traveling for the wedding dies the day before and suddenly we're trying to travel internationally with the pandemic because funerals.

5. I forgot to do the tip envelopes and only remember once everyone is at the venue. We have $25 in cash. In $1 bills.

6. I get a phone call the week of the wedding that I absolutely have to work that Saturday, and they cannot get along without me and they're so sorry but there's an issue and "can't you just be on the phone?"

Clearly, I'm handling the stress very well.
