what are your plans for wedding night?

I just realized that we have nothing planned for what we are gonna do once the reception is over. I have a feeling going back to the house will not feel as special... maybe I should look into hotels? lol I don't know... Our wedding is on a Friday from 2pm to 10pm and we don't leave for our honeymoon...

We are staying at the hotel 2 min away from the Venue..& since I am doing flowers, centerpieces, & everything else setting up on my own (with help tomorrow from my mom, & 2 BMs) we will stay at the hotel tomorrow & Friday night.. but Fri there wont be that much of staying there or sleeping going on .. Reception finishes at 1130pm, by the time I leave there (will send DH probably sooner to hotel so he can hang out with guest) but as for me, I will have to show my mom what to pack & to bring back to my house or her house, etc.. so wont get to hotel till 1am.. & then party at the hotel with who ever else is up & then limo coming to get us at 345am Sat to take us to airport... St Maarteen finally I am coming!!! I can not wait until 4am on Sat!!!!

We will be going home, to go to a hotel would mean driving 20 minutes and having a baby sitter the entire night, to go home would mean a 1 minute drive home

We're getting married at a hotel so they offer us a room for the night that we will use.

We're a part of the hotel crowd, as well! normally, I wouldn't be able to justify that expense for myself, but we are getting married at an Inn and the honeymoon suite is included in the package.... of course I do not anticipate it getting much use, as we are having an after party at the Inn following the reception, and a brunch in the early AM before we head off to the airport... but I suppose that is what the honeymoon is for Smiley winking

We've waited so we are going back to our house, to consummate for the first time in our own bed, then leaving the next morning for San Antonio.

There's a Victorian style B&B right near our venue that my parents are springing for. FH wanted to just go home and I warned him that I might start cleaning or doing dishes...he went online immediately and started looking for hotels LOL.

We're just going back to our place. It's like 10,minutes away max! We leave for our honeymoon around noon so we wouldn't have had much hotek time, other than sleeping [among the obvious] & would rather spend that money on the honeymoon :]

We went back to the hotel, & Dh went swimming with the kids, I'm a wimp to cold water so I just sat by the pool in my dress, with my feet in the water..

Wouldnt suggest doing that, but deffinately get a nice hotel room, makes it more romantic then going back home

We aren't living together, haven't had sleepovers, either. He/we just got an amazing job maintaining the facilities at a Bible camp. It comes wit ha house. He'll be moving in there in October, and I'll be moving in on our wedding night. (All my stuff will have already been moved.)

Oh, yes, and we'll leave for our honeymoon cruise two days later.

We're staying at a hotel on our wedding night as well. We've already lived together for a couple of years and we don't leave for our HM until 12 days after the wedding so we splurged on a really nice room for the night.

We booked our HM suite for 3 nights.

I checked in Friday night by myself and one of my BMs crashed with me, then everyone came over and got ready there Saturday AM.

After the wedding on Saturday, we went back to the HM suite, and stayed there Saturday AND Sunday nights, checking out Monday to leave for our HM.

Sunday we did go downstairs and bump into some friends/family in the lobby, so we had brunch with some of them, then H went to return his tux while I took a nap, and then we went to dinner with my family who was there from OOT. Then we went home and went through our cardbox.

Seriously.......not having to move around was SO nice, and having the extra time on Sunday morning/evening to ourselves was so luxurious. Booking that suite for the extra night was in the top 3 planning decisions we made, no question!

Our venue is also a hotel/inn so we will be staying in the suite for the evening. It is also where FH and his groomsmen will be getting ready before the wedding.

We've waited til marriage and have never spent the night with each other so we are going to go back to our house (i've moved in and he will move in after the wedding) since that will be special for us! Plus, we leave for the honeymoon the next morning so a hotel would be too chaotic to get things back to our house before we leave for the HM.

Our venue is at a resort on a lake that has log cabins, and part of our package is that we get a log cabin for the night of the wedding!! So we plan to stay there the night of the wedding (our reception ends at 8:30 since its a Sunday night, but until everyone actually leaves and we get to the cabin, we are going to be tired I know!) Then we plan to come back to our house Monday afternoon (we only live 40 minutes from our venue) and we are still deciding if we will leave for Lake George, NY Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning (about a 4-5 hour drive for us) which is where we are going for the rest of the week for our honeymoon!!
