What are your ideas for wedding favors?

I think wedding favors are a waste unless you do something edible. Most people leave the favors behind or throw them in the trash.

I was gonna do koozies but that's the one thing my FH was against lol so I think we will be doing homemade apple butter and pumpkin spreads since we get married in the fall it seemed fitting!

We dual purposed ours. They were bottle opener skeleton keys. The tags were the escort cards. Everyone ended up taking theirs. We were kind of surprised!

My favorite favor from a wedding I went to was a vintage key. It's beautiful and I love that even though I don't know where it came from it has a history.

If I do favors it'll be mini apple pies because my wedding is this fall, and here in MI that's BIG TIME apple orchard season. I would wrap the same ribbon i'm using in decorations around them like a gift and place them at each table setting

I would say favors are usually a waste of time and money. But after about a dozen weddings I've either attend or been a part of, I've only ever used 2 favors. One was a CD of the wedding playlist for my best friend's wedding. She and I have the same taste in music so I listen to it frequently. Another was a box of Cracker Jack left at the place settings at a friend's baseball themed wedding. The guests had something to snack on during cocktail hour.

My only wedding favors are bubbles! Since they will be using them when everyone exits down the aisle after the ceremony and when my FH and I decide to leave.

We have coasters made out of wine cork. Purchased them from Etsy and they were affordable.

So because FH is retired military and I wanted to have something close to his military career. Plus have a wedding feel to it. I found this picture on Pinterest, I also found the “Soldiers” at our local Dollar Store. The box I found at Micheals for about $10 on sale. So the total was $14. Oh if no one take the little soldiers I’ll just give them to my kiddos to plays with.

We're having a big cookie bar so we're just having cute bags to take cookies to go. We also considered custum stadium cups with a cute saying.

I'm doing bottle openers that look like keys

I’m doing tiny glass jars with corks full of wildflower seeds.

We're doing charity donations in remembrance of loved ones who have passed away. Every guest will get a card saying that a donation has been made in their name, and a charity pin

Our favors are shot glasses that are also being used to show the guests their table assignments. This way they have a favor to take home but it also doubled to have another purpose in case some guests decide not to take the favor.

I am back and forth on what we should do and IF we should even do them! I feel as though they are a waste unless it is something they can use again, such as a Tumblr or shot glasses etc.
