What are you using for the send off?

Our venue is very strict about things that could harm the wildlife (getting married at an Arboretum). No rice, no birdseed, no confetti. I found these streamer wands. They're cute. Any other suggestions? (These are the pics from amazon)What are you using for the send off? 1

Wow what a great idea!!! I haven’t even began drumming up ideas for the send-off but our venue also doesn’t allow rice/confetti. We were thinking sparklers, but how is it possible to make sure they’re all kept lit at the same time??? LOL. So this idea, and maybe rose pedals, are what we’re considering

Oh I hadn't thought of sparklers! That's one I'll add to my list 💜 thank you! I gather ideas and then my FH and I discuss them. He's actually been really involved and incredibly helpful!! He's kind of a fire bug 🤣🤣🤣 so I'll see what he thinks of this!

I saw an idea on Pinterest of leaves cut up with a hole puncher that people then threw😊

Love the streamer wands. You could add bubbles, dried flower petals or biodegradable confetti or balloons

Our venue is very strict as well. It’s a lodge/cabin in the mountains. No sparklers, confetti, glitter, bubbles, and thrown flowers must be real.
We are going to do freeze dried rose petals from flyboynaturals.com.

We are actually using my bouquet toss as our send off. We will head to the exit, I'll toss the bouquet and we will make our exit. We are also planning an after party so no need to have the fanfare of an official goodbye and goodnight just yet.

We used leaves that my florist had leftover from other weddings and put them in book page cones. What are you using for the send off? 4

Oh, ok! I'm trying to do that particular part of the wedding directly after the reception, before all the dancing and sweating lol

I was thinking about bubbles but since the wedding ceremony and reverie at my church, I love your idea about using wedding wands. I may just use that for my July wedding.

We're doing bubbles (that come in little champagne bottles). I would have loved sparklers, but our venue doesn't allow them and our ceremony/reception are indoors in the same space. It just didn't make sense to go outside for sparklers anyway (plus our space is on the 3rd floor).

I also didn't want anything like confetti that would have to be cleaned up because we'd be responsible for that. I considered streamers, but decided I liked the bubbles better.

Could you do flower petals? They'll be hard to throw and kind of flutter, but they could be pretty and would be biodegradable and shouldn't cause any harm. Your venue might require you to clean them though, which would be a pain.

Also are sparklers allowed? That's another option, but I know some places don't allow them because of the open flame.

Sparklers aren't allowed, but flower petals may be.

We ended up getting the ribbon wands...a lot of little girls at our wedding (13 kids, 9 are girls 11 and under LOL) so we think they'll enjoy playing with them, too.
