What are you most worried about in wedding photography?

Make sure you meet with them to see how well your personalities match up! You don't want to spend the day with a person who drives you crazy.

Check their social media pages and make sure you like how their pics look and that they have taken recent pictures. I do not want delay in pics or pics to look bad as some brides have mentioned. I am going in with some shots I know I want her to take too.

I want a record of the day and not tons of posed pictures that don’t seem natural. So I was looking for that look. I want a video too. Mostly of the ceremony but for the rest too. I didn’t want a big company that they’d stick any photographer in - some kid so to speak. I wanted someone who had one or two people plus video. I looked at photos on their websites, that other brides posted, reviews, etc. and I want to own photos, don’t care for a book, etc.

No tips for looking but one important question to ask when you get there is DO THEY HAVE A BACKUP? Learned this from my cousins wedding so yeah 😂

I picked the photographer before I met the man. She's local and we get along and I love her photo style. Have admired her work for years.


Look at a ton of photos. Make sure you like what you see. Book as soon as you decide you want them.

We’re using the same photographer as my SIL so having first hand experienced this photographer in her wedding and seeing the final products I have 100% faith in him.

I cared most about her personality. Of course I wanted the the style of the photos to be beautiful (IMO) but also realized that the photographer's ability to connect with the couple and wedding parties are really important! If they can make people comfortable enough to get natural photos or not matters to me. I also wanted to know they'll be extroverted enough on the day and responsible to keep things moving so I don't have to deal with the stress of micromanaging. I'm really confident in our choice. Felt right. 😊👍

We clicked with her as a person, and I just kept looking at all her pictures and loving the way she shot them. Not only did we ask her a lot of questions but she asked us a lot in return to make sure she knows exactly what we want on our wedding day. Plus I just have a really good feeling about her
