What are you getting your parents as a thank you gift?

We got his parents and my mom and step-dad personalized picture frames with a promise of a printed wedding photo in it. They were $32 each so I haven't gotten my dad anything yet.

We're supposed to get gifts for our parents?

Well, my parents paid for my dress. Does that count?

FH's family is actually costing us money to have them attend.

Since our parents are hoofing the 90% of the bill, we wanted to get something really nice. For his parents, we'll get them a laptop. For mine, I'm getting them a weekend away up north dog sledding. I'm hoping they like it!

FH and I got my parents a picture frame from Etsy. We're getting married on my parents' 28th wedding anniversary so it has a cutesy phrase, plus a spot for a picture of them on their wedding day (with the date underneath) and a picture from FH and my wedding (date underneath also). We also plan on getting them a fancy bottle of wine or something to go with it.

My parents are the types of people who would like the embroidered hankies or that like of thing, so I figured this was sentimental without being too over-the-top corny.

We got his mom and step mom a nice necklace from Jared (and his mom a bracelet with something sappy on it, so she feels more special than his step-mom).

We got his dad a bluetooth speaker system, bc FH worked at Best Buy over Christmas and it was an awesome deal, so why not.

I was going to get my parents a giftcard for like Home Depot to help with home repairs, but since they got lost picking me up from the airport last month "because the GPS messed up" I bought them a new one instead.

Our mothers are getting miniature dupes of our wedding album and our Dads are getting printed photos of us with them.

We are also going to write them thank you notes & I found a really nice necklace with a "mother of the groom" poem thing I want to get my FMIL. My mom is also going to get the same robe im getting my girls for getting ready since we'll be at her house and a mini version of their gift bags as a little surprise

We got my mom a Swarovski crystal figurine and my for my dad a Wii golf game, both gifts they will enjoy. We are not getting his parents anything since they are not contributing any money.

We did : personlized wine bottles for each as well as gift card to a fav restruant for a couple dinners for my parents and 2 nights stay in Asheville NC b&B for his parents. Both totaling the same amount of $.

We budgeted high for both because we wanted to do something special for them!

After the wedding when we get pro pics we are giving the moms a nice frame with a wedding pic in it, and dads are possibly getting watches.

I did the personalize picture frame for them, with my wedding colors lavender based and ivory flower.

We're treating my parents to a weekend at the Golden Nugget in Louisiana. They've been talking about going since it opened this year.

My FMIL & FFIL go to Woodloch Pines in PA all the time so we decided to pay for them to go there for a weekend. We also got them and my mom personalized frames for one of our wedding photos. For my Mom we bought her tickets to see On the Town on broadway and we are taking her out to a fancy dinner afterwards. I also bought her a tote bag with anchors on it because she loves bags, and my dad was in the navy so she loves anchors.
