I'd love to see pictures of your sophisticated dresses. I am about 5'4" and medium build. My first wedding, I wore my mom's dress, which was a very elaborate ball gown! I look at all of the beautiful dresses on this site but I think I would prefer something simple and elegant. Any ideas for dresses and accessories?

As a 50 something second time bride with a causal beach wedding I opted for something simple with no train but I loved the back

I’m not yet 50-something yet but I’m close (I’ll be 45 when I walk down the aisle)😊. I’m also a second time bride. The first time (15 years ago) I wore an ivory ballgown that wasn’t overly ornate. This time, I’m wearing a somewhat simple ivory “fit and flare”/mermaid style (adding a wide rhinestone belt for the ceremony and changing to a different style sash for the reception).

Thank you! It’s actually two alternating types of silk fabrics, so it gives two different effects. One is a mikado silk and the other is more of a “satiny” silk. I was drawn to it because it was simple, classic and a little different because it’s plain... without being completely plain. Lol 😉
