What are fall wedding flowers?

Cecy Rg, on June 19, 2019 at 6:51 PM Posted in Planning 1 14
Getting ready for the wedding in October, what flowers are you brides getting for October and what are the prices, another friend that just got married is saying that flowers become more expensive in fall for the reason that spring is when flowers are blooming.

My wedding is October 5th and I purchased the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnières from a girl on Etsy. My flowers are sola meaning wood flowers and some are dried. I decided to do the same size bouquet as my bridesmaids so I only paid $30 for each bouquet. I found it very reasonable especially for being able to keep my bouquet for forever! (and not having the stress of real flowers dying)

I’m getting married October 5th. We are using Dahlia’s, Mini Callas, some roses and greenery. All of our flowers are dark oranges, eggplant, and other dark fall colors.

I’m sharing sunflowers and ferns with another bride. We’ll use them Friday and she’ll use them Saturday. I get them first but she gets to keep them so we split it 50/50

I'll be honest, we didn't even consider the season when selecting flowers. We told our florist what we liked, and she made it happen lol. Our wedding was October 19. Colors were blue, purple and turquoise. We told her we wanted whatever could be done with pops of those colors on a fairly minimal budget. She suggested white roses and using orchids for our pops of color. Worked out well!

I'm going with varying shades of deeper purple and grey. I haven't purchased them yet, but i'm going with ones I found on Amazon. I can get mine, the two bridesmaids, the groom and two groomsmen all for under 50. As far as centerpieces I'm still pricing that out

It can certainly be cheaper to get flowers that are in season. For October you might want to consider roses, carnations, succulents, chrysanthemums, and of course some greenery and baby's breath can add volume and shape without adding too much cost

My wedding is Sept 28th (so almost October lol). I am using Daisies as the main flower and then stock and greenery. However, my bouquet and my MOH bouquet with also have white roses in it. Daisies have always been my favorite flower and also a lower priced flower. After all the bouquets (mine, MOH, 3 bridesmaids, flower girl), corsages (2 mothers and 1 grandmother), boutonnieres (groom, BM, 3 groomsmen, 2 fathers, 2 grandfathers, 2 ring bearers), and 12 sets for centerpieces we paid just over $1000. That comes out to just over $30 per item which I didn't think was bad.
