I need help losing 40 pounds by November ! I am getting a custom gown and I am getting my first official measurements in November ! Did any apps or diets help you lose weight? I also don’t have anyone to go workout with so I’ve been feeling really bummed out just trying to go out by myself!

I am counting calories and eating in a calorie deficit. I use MyNetDairy to track everything. I also weigh out all of my meals including all ingredients including any spices and condiments that I use when making the food. If I have a drink with calories in it I count those as well. I have found it really easy to use. I still eat food that I like just smaller portions.

Losing 40 lbs in 6 months really isn't healthy - so if you don't care about your health you may as well go on a semaglutide like ozempic or munjaro. I wouldn't suggest this if you care about keeping the weight off or your long-term health.

Get measurements for the size you are now. It’s easier for the seamstress to make a dress smaller than to make it bigger because you gained weight or didn’t lose any as planned.

40 lbs in 6 months is drastic. Talk to your doctor first.

40lbs in 6 months is not drastic. Its typically safe to drop anywhere from 1-2lbs a week. 6 months is approximately 24 weeks x 2 is 48lbs. She would be fine to lose 40lbs.

Losing weight can be challenging, but with the right help and strategies, it becomes more manageable. Whether you're looking to shed a few pounds or undergo a major transformation, there are several key approaches to achieving your weight loss goals.

    1. Healthy Eating Habits

The foundation of successful weight loss is a balanced, nutritious diet. Focus on whole foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Avoid processed foods, sugary snacks, and excessive refined carbohydrates, as they contribute to weight gain. Portion control is equally important—understanding how much to eat helps prevent overeating.

    2. Exercise

Regular physical activity is essential for burning calories and building muscle. Incorporating both cardio exercises (like walking, running, or cycling) and strength training helps boost metabolism and promotes fat loss while toning your body. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous activity per week.

    3. Hydration

Drinking plenty of water can help with weight loss by improving metabolism and reducing unnecessary snacking. Sometimes, the body confuses thirst for hunger, so staying hydrated may prevent overeating.

    4. Consistency and Patience

Weight loss takes time and consistency. Quick fixes or extreme diets may lead to temporary results, but sustainable weight loss comes from long-term habits. Focus on gradual progress rather than immediate results, and be patient with your body.

    5. Seek Professional Help

If you're struggling, consider seeking support from a nutritionist, dietitian, or fitness coach. They can provide personalized guidance tailored to your needs, making the journey more effective.

With the right balance of diet, exercise, and mindset, weight loss is achievable. Take it step by step, and celebrate your progress along the way!
