Hey guys!! My FW and I got engaged over the holidays. She planned a wonderful day to have all of our families over and each of them brought me a holiday card to spell out the proposal 😍 (the O was even sent out and returned by my best friend states away just in time) buuuuut now that the world wind of holidays have ended, I've started to slightly panic over where to begin 😅😅😅
So my question for this post is, thoughts on a weekend long wedding? Red River Gorge here in Kentucky has a lodge you can rent out from Friday night until Sunday morning. They cover almost every part needed for the wedding (and breakfast comes with renting out the lodge) for about the same price as throwing a wedding here at home with much more actual planning. We plan on having to buy pizza the Friday before and make that a pretty casual rehersal and catching up night. But I just feel like this is almost too easy, and I'm letting my excitement overlook obvious things. We have to keep our guest list pretty small, but it does manage to just cover all family and closest friends. Are there any other cons? And pros? Unexpected things to watch out for? Anyone with experience having all of your and your future in-law family under the same roof for that long of a time? 😅😅😅
