I am debating doing a wedding video for our wedding. Is it worth the money?? Trying to stay within our budget.

It's definitely worth it! Videography is one of those things people regret not having

We’re doing video, but my goal is for the end product to only be a 10-15 minute edit, highlighting the main events from the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. I don’t want a long video because I know I’ll never watch it... and no one else wants to sit through that either.

Ehhh I’m skipping the video - maybe just a video of the ceremony but I wouldn’t do one of the reception

I think it's worth it but if it's not in your budget as long as you've photos and ways to capture the moments you want, tis fine to skip.

Had we had it in our budget, I'm sure I would've dabbled with the idea of videography. But after realizing we don't have the funds, I'm kinda glad we won't be splurging on it. I think wedding videographers do beautiful work, but after the initial newlywed phase, I don't think we'd watch it hardly ever again. The photos are 100% important to me, as those will be around the house for years and years Smiley heart

That's one thing my fiancé was against but I insisted on. My sister regretted not having one at hers. I would love to have a wedding video that I could show my kids one day too ^^ I found a lovely deal for an elopement package as I only really want footage of the getting ready, first look, and ceremony. I don't see much point of footage when people are eating or dancing that I can't piece together at a later stage from guests taking pics or videos.

I am going heavy with photography and skipping video. I know me and my FH husband won't watch the video.

We argued about this for a while. I literally said, OK, we won't have one. But I kept looking, kept requesting quotes and found one that was a great value and does great work. Plus, she is local to us and won't have travel fees. I found a ton of videographers by going on instagram. I searched #wisconsinvideographer #wisconsinweddingvideographer and found way more than I thought existed. I got tons of great quotes, and then when I found one that I liked, told my fiancee, and he was all for it. I think it will be worth the money to have a video, and then we can cut back a little on favors or decor as those things are not as important to us. Plus I recently found footage of my grandparents wedding, it was only a few minutes but what a gem! My grandma was so happy to see it all these years later... it's what helped us truly decide it is worth it. Good luck! But seriously go to insta!
