My suggestion is keep his preference in mind. My FH loves bustiers and lace anything so I did that. However he does not like stockings so I skipped those. I would recommend shopping online and buying a selection. You can return anything you don't like or end up with some good stuff to use on the honeymoon.

@Lynn, not everyone is marrying a man. A sweaty, stinky, sticky body does not sound like much of a gift. The whole "unwrapping you like a gift" makes me cringe.

I'll probably be in regular cotton panties and spanx. Our wedding ends at midnight and who knows if we'll go to any after parties. We'll probably be too exhausted to do anything.

My top half will be encased in a corset (more functional than decorative). I just ordered some Fruit of the Loom breathable panties for the bottom half, so my ladybits will be comfy. I'm saving the cute stuff for the honeymoon.

I'll probably be wear spanx or a control slip and a longline bra.

I'm going to be wearing not sexy things underneath and have some sexy stuff in the bathroom at my hotel room so I can "slip into something more comfortable"

@Lynn I am not a "gift" for anyone but my damn self. I will not be giving up comfort for anyone on my wedding day.

Hahahaha @lyn, boo, my undercarriage was sweating after a half hour in my dress for a fitting. If it's supposed to be a gift, she's gonna be getting a hot sweaty stinky gift. Also, notice I said she? It is 2017, not everyone is marrying a man.
