@jeanette to actually answer your question, you could wear regular white/beige underwear. Are you looking for control pieces? Like spanx? I've heard that the actual spanx brand holds up the best.

I have a cute little bustier which will offer shape and support without being invisible. I will be wearing nude cotton boy shorts so that I am comfortable and no lines show.

Saving the sexy stuff for the honeymoon...we will be so exhausted from the after party that I doubt anything steamy will happen in the bedroom that night.

I'm putting yoga pants or leggings on underneath my dress. I hate shapewear and just want to avoid my legs sticking together.

What does the dress store recommend or your seamstress? Yeah, I don't recommend wearing lingerie for the 12 hours that you're going to be out and about getting married. It'll be uncomfortable and sweaty as fuck.

My dress doesn't require shapewear so I got Thinx, those period underwear, in an attempt to absorb sweat. Test ran wearing them as a BM in a layered long dress and highly recommend. They make high waisted ones as well but not sure how much control they offer.

I didn't read the comments but I just want to say: my seamstress says she always recommends nude (closest to your skin type) instead of white. And helllllll no will I wear anything *sexy* underneath. Sexy lingerie is usually uncomfortable, and would make my dress look so weird. Bring your undies to your fittings!

I'll be wearing some super comfy underwear...probably cotton grandma panties if we're going to be honest because I hate thongs and lace and panties that ride up. And I have some Hane's brand polyester bike shorts...not really tight enough to be shape wear but they don't ride up on my thighs which is the BIGGEST DEAL and they'll keep my legs from sticking together. And then my dress will have bra cups built in.

I wore MeUndies boyshorts. They're SO comfortable.

FH has seen enough lingerie from me. So I'm opting for some Nike Spandex under my dress.

Wear something comfortable, not what you think your partner wants to see on your wedding night. Most women who have a white slinky dress like mine would wear shape wear but I refused to do that. I'm wearing nude lace boy shorts because they don't ride up and are super comfortable. They're from a company called hanky panky.

I wore spanx and had cups sewn in to my dress. There was no "sexy unwrapping" after the wedding, there was exhausted, drunken, peeling of sweaty garments from my swampy ass and passing out in bed without even brushing my teeth.
