Wedding Timeline for 5 p.m. ceremony

Ashley, on January 18, 2017 at 9:22 AM Posted in Planning 2 2

Hello! I am having a hard time planning my wedding timeline for a 5 p.m. ceremony! No first look. Ceremony begins at 5 p.m. ; then cocktail beginning around 5:20 (we have a short ceremony). Does anyone have advice for this or a sample timeline that they used? After hour of cocktail, intros, etc.

We're also having a 5 pm ceremony - but are doing a first look.

    Our schedule looks liked this:

hair and makeup will start around 8am (we think)

    3:00 First look

4:15 - we'll be in the bridal suite, guests can start to arrive, ceremony musicians start

5pm ceremony (most likely really 5:15 start with people processing and such)

5:45 cocktail hour upstairs (same venue) -we're going to do some family photos now, but mostly enjoy cocktail hour as we're able

6:45 ceremony/cocktail musicians stop, reception venue opens

7:00 entrance, immediately into toasts, and start dinner service

8:00 first dance - start the PARTY!

    8:45 cut the cake

11:00 - end time, shuttle back to hotel or nearby bar with live music

ETA: there is a timeline generator on here also
