Wedding shoes too expensive?

Let me start by saying I am cheap. I pretty much exclusively shop at target. I buy most of my stuff on sale or clearance.

I'm almost to my one year mark so I picked up my planning again. I was perusing the internet the other day at work and found the absolute perfect pair of shoes and exactly what I've had in mind. The issue, they're $200. That's about $180 more than I would normally spend. They're Kate Spades. I showed Fh and told him I'm obsessed but I can't stomach the cost. And he, the one who's more frugal than me, told me they're special and I should just do it. We're financially stable, but we're in no way "well off." I don't need them right this instant, I could probably wait until taxes come so it doesn't hurt so bad.

But. Is it worth it?? Will I regret spending $200?

Here's the shoes

They are so cute! Check out a website called Tradesy. They resell gently used designer shoes, handbags, etc. with tons of pictures and a good return policy . I agree with FH- sometimes it's ok to throw a little caution to wind and buy something fun for yourself.

I just got my jimmy choo flats in the mail today as a late Christmas present to myself and I'm in love! I say splurge if it's not going to hurt you financially!

I'm spending probably at least that on my shoes, that will also be flats. Except I'm more willing to pay for mine because they're being custom made. I honestly think you could find a pair almost exactly the same for cheaper. But if you can't, then just go for it. You don't want to wish you got them after it's too late.

Girl, I was in your same shoes. They were Kate Spades (pink glitter Abigail's) FH told me to treat yo'self, since I saw them on vacation and was all "I'M ON VACATION WOOO LETS SHOP" I ordered them, and sent them right back. They were also about $200. Although it was for my wedding day, I just could not justify spending that much on shoes and I didn't like that FH knew what would be on my feet hahah.

They're for your wedding day and you feel so strongly about them, I think you should bite the bullet and get them. Make sure they fit well and enjoy knowing you've crossed another wedding purchase off your to-do list. They're cute and you can wear them again. You'll only do this once. Get what makes you happy and you have the support of FH too! #NoBrainer

I LOVE KATE SPADE. Every purse i own is Kate Spade. But even I wouldn't spend $200 on those. They look too simple for $200, to me they look kind of cheap even though they're expensive-if that makes sense. I'd say find cheaper ones somewhere else.

I'm looking at tieks now cause I'm student teaching right now and all of the flats I own give me blisters. Thanks y'all lol.

This has probably been mentioned already, but I wanted gold flats too, just searched for them on Amazon and there were TONS of budget-friendly options.

I couldn't ever pay that kind of money for a pair of sparkly flats. I say shop around.

I've done some searching and found some similar ones with no stupid details (ugly bows, embellishments, etc). It's not that I need Kate spade. I'm not a high end whore. I have a MK purse but got it at the outlets for less than $100 so. I do honestly feel like I can't justify the $200. There's so many other things I could spend the money on. I just love the look of the chunky glitter. But I'll keep looking.
