Wedding reception venues for $1500 or less

Yikes! That sounds like a tough spot to be in. We live in a major suburban/metropolitan area and we have trouble finding restaurants that are open on Christmas Eve for a quick dinner after church.... I'd focus on stand-alone possibilities like the "community room" in a condo complex where someone you know lives. It seems like you need a place where they are willing to hand you the keys and let you do your thing, and it's hard to imagine many of those. I'd think most places will already be booked or are closed for the holiday. Good luck! (Is there any chance of postponing/changing your date?)

Sounds like your best bet would be a hall rental. I’m in South Jersey, and there’s a ton of fire houses and Legion halls to rent. The problem is probably going to be that you want to do it Christmas Eve. Since a lot of these places are run by volunteers, they would have to agree to give up their holiday with their families. You may have to go to a restaurant, but I don’t think you’re going to be able to find one this close for 125 people, especially if there’s not going to be a bar tab along with that. I don’t think finding something will be impossible, but I would start calling around now for your best chance of finding something. Good luck!
