Wedding reception helicopter

Naz, on November 6, 2017 at 10:52 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 45

Hi guys, I want to rent a helicopter for my wedding reception. Where can I rent one? Anyone know how much it might cost? Any rules or regulation?

I'm in Los Angeles and for an hour ride it's like $500 and that's on the cheap side. ETA:double checked and it's $500 for a 30 min ride

Smaller helicopters run approximately 2500$/hr to rent.

And include lead and post time (so you aren't going to pay a flat 2500$ for a ride.

I'm guessing it might be a little less but I had to research for work and that's what it costs for renting for work.

What? Why? Would it be taking people somewhere or just like for show?

Are you going to be introduced in the helicopter? Or have your grand exit with it? I just don't understand how it would be used...

Extra extra read all about it.

Honestly I have no issues with this. If you want to arrive to your wedding in a helicopter go for it. Just land in a space where you're not f'ing up anyone's hair or blowing them away. If someone messed up my hair, bride or not, we're fighting lol

Any rules or regulations? Have you heard of the Federal Aviation Administration? There might be a few rules. Jeez.

Try searching on google, its your wedding do what you want and spend what you want, but I would make sure it is safe and allowed by your venue first.

I went to a wedding once where the couple left in a helicopter. I side-eyed the shit out of it because the rest of the wedding was very poorly hosted (no bar, only food was cake and a veggie tray at a 6 pm reception).

I'm not opposed to it in theory, as long as the rest of the wedding is well hosted. There will be local helicopter touring companies near you. Contact them and see what they say.

I agree with Mrs B. Your wedding better be the best damn wedding I've ever been to if you're leaving in a helicopter lol.

@NAS, didn't that happen recently too where the brother, bride, pilot and photographer all died in a helicopter crash on the way to the brides grand entrance. Want to say it was in a Latin America country.

Also, helicopters make some people motion sick, I had to take Dramamine before we took our tour on our HM in Maui. Came back to the hotel and had one cocktail and was totally knocked out the rest the day.
