Wedding programs!

niabldwn, on June 4, 2018 at 11:39 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11
Hi! Have any of you done wedding programs and printed them yourself? I really hate to spend so much money on something people are going to throw away.

Yep! My first wedding was pretty large and I knew some people were coming from far away that had never met my now ex-husband. Because of this, we decided to make booklets with cardstock. Every program consisted of a page that briefly told our story, what our ceremony traditions represented, and who the bridal party was. It looked like the picture I attached on here -- but instead of costing a fortune, it cost us a package of cardstock and some ribbon to tie the program together -- ballpark $25!

We are doing some really fun programs that we found on etsy. We bought the template and she changed all of the information to include our info as well as change the colors. Then we printed them ourselves. Saved a ton of money that way. We weren't planning on doing programs, but decided to once we saw these.

Not only am I designing and printing them at home, I'll also making them bookmarks. I can fit all necessary info on front & back, and print 4 to a page. Super affordable lol

I made mine, and they're hand fans. I had some leftover cardstock and just printed them out and glued a craft stick. I know they will end up in the trash, so I didn't spend a ton of money, but we are having an outdoor wedding in August, so I thought the fan would be appreciated a little more.

I printed ours myself from Word onto white 5x7 paper bags. There will also be flower petals in the bags for a toss for our ceremony recessional so they serve double duty.

I'm literally buying computer paper - with a design and printing them myself. I just went to a wedding where they used regular computer paper and literally nobody cared!

We're planning to do fans for the programs too, and I plan to design and print them myself at home. We'll see how that goes! I ordered the paper, have an idea for the design and need to buy the handles and glue.

I think this is something you can do at home to save yourself some money. Also, there are templates on ETSY that are cheap really cheap and you just print as many as you want. I am considering doing this to save some money as well... and by the way, they are super cute and some are funny. Check them out!
