I'm excited to start planning but my fiance and I can't seem to pick a date. How did you guys pick your dates?

We came up with a Deadline for when we would pick our date, that way it was no pressure. Last year we suffered a lot of loss, so planning for a wedding was put on the back burner. Once we got past Christmas and had still not set a date and he asked me to stop asking about a date because he hadn't had time to think about it yet, so I said I tell you what I will stop asking if you tell me when where gonna make the time to sit down and come up with something. This way I put the ball in his court. He said, "I tell you what; We will sit down New Years Eve and come up with a date and at New Years when the clock strikes midnight on News years Day we will annouce our date." It worked out great!!!

Start by narowing down your venues. Maybe choose your top 3 to go look at. That's what we did. If your open to summer in general, it will be easy once you find a venue you love!

Honestly it was more a matter of convenience than anything. Originally we were going to go out of state so I wanted it to be over the summer (when I have off from my teaching job). But once we decided to stay in state I knew it couldn't be a summer Florida wedding lol. Again I wanted to have time off around the time of our wedding so we decided on early March so we could honeymoon on my school's spring break. If I could have any dream date it would have been October 31st! But really biggest factors for us were weather in Florida that time of year (venue is mostly outside) and whether I could have time off work to prepare and freak out about it HAH!

We share the same birthday and our anniversary is in the same month. So it was a no brainer for us, were getting married a day before our birthday in August! Smiley smile

We chose our Wedding Date as we knew we wanted to get married in the Summer. In Michigan June can still be a cold month and we have to much going on in July so we chose August for our month. We came up with the day the 21st as my fiancé only gets so many days off with the schedule he works. We didn’t plan on him taking any extra days off if he didn’t have to so we chose from the two Saturdays he has off that month. We decided on 2021 as we purchased our forever home in 2019 and wanted to get our Savings Account back up to pay for the Wedding

My fiancée and I were always going to meet, as our besties were going to get married, but WE meet by accident a few months earlier. I had tickets to a 3 Doors down concert I was going to with his bestie and mine, while he randomly got a free ticket the day of from someone he worked with. so we made our wedding date the same date as that concert and then waited until it fell on a sat

We began looking at venues. Many had availability when we wanted it, (originally Saturday between Jan-March of 2021). We found the perfect venue and they only had Fridays available, as it it peak wedding season during those times in Miami. We went with a friday at the beginning of March. I would check with venues and decide a flexible date range and see what happens!

I wanted to get married in October just because I always wanted a fall wedding and I didn't want September or November. I had chose 10/10/2020 because it was October, a month where we don't have a lot going on for us or family, and I liked how the date sounded.

Unfortunately, with my SO in the military, we basically got restricted to a May wedding which I'm okay with because no matter what, I get to marry my best friend. Out of May, we knew we wanted a Saturday wedding. We just played around with dates and picked one. I graduate from college the weekend before our date and I wanted to get married after but not the last weekend of the month so we landed on May 22, 2021.

Honestly we haven’t even settled on that date. It’s pretty fluid still. Our parents and families all live in another state from us

Unfortunately with the business my fiancé is in I only have limited dates to pick for our wedding. Luckily we have always talked about a fall wedding with it being our favorite time of year, but still didn’t really have a choice in a significant date to us 😢 but it’s a date that isn’t someone else’s date so I’m happy with it. Grateful I’m getting to spend the rest of my life with him so our date will be significant to us 🖤

My fiancée and I share the month of July for our birthday. Hers is July 19 and mine is July 17. This particular year the 18th fell on a Saturday... it was perfect. We could party with our families the whole weekend, celebrating our birthdays and our nuptials.

We picked a date that I'd be sure to have all my children with me. Also its a time it wont be to cold or too hot. It's also the day before my bday. But it is a special day because its a good friends bday (he passed away).

I always knew I wanted a summer wedding & it just so happened my love & I met during summer. We have been courting so we always said we wanted to get married on the day we met (July 21st) but to our luck friends of ours got married on that date (still courting when the friends got married). Since having a Saturday wedding is extremely important to me (for traveling guests) looking ahead we realized that July 21st wasn’t coming on a Saturday for YEARS! Because of that & knowing what year we want to get married, we just picked the next available Saturday in July that wasn’t a birthday, anniversary, or holiday. Hence July 17th, 2021 came to be 💍

We didn’t want a month with holidays. We didn’t want a month involving sports or having to pay for school clothes. We didn’t want any months of birthdays. We absolutely can’t do any months involving harvest season as he works at the grain elevators. So we picked September which is the only on able and well we had to do one of the first two weekends but we couldn’t do the 5th it’s a holiday so the 12th it is. He begins harvest that next week😂😂😂
