Wedding Planners

Fiance and I are doing it ourselves.

I think it's totally manageable to plan a wedding by yourself as long as you have the time and the emotional capacity. There are a lot of tools available nowadays (the internet being the biggest), so in my opinion a wedding planner isn't worth the cost.

I was blessed though; our venue provides 2 day-of coordinators who do all the set-up, decorating, and clean-up for us. A day-of person was a must for me!

I'll be following this topic. As of right now we are doing all the planning ourselves because we aren't sure we want to spend the extra money on it and because we aren't getting married until May 2021 so we kind of feel like we have plenty of time to work out the details on our own. The main reason I'm kind of still considering a planner is to handle to various vendors as we book them. It would be nice to have someone to help keep track of everyone and where they are in the process, especially on the day of.

I'm doing it by myself! I'm a type A anyway and hate being told what to do lol. Maybe I am missing out deals that come with having a planner but I like the fact that I make all the decisions. I will not have any issue with feeling pressured to choose one vendor over the other. With most of resources being available online and having 1 year to plan, I'm pretty confident that it will be fine.

We are doing all the planning ourselves but did hire a Day of Coordinator to help with set up and to keep us on track for the day.

I did everything myself. It's a lot of work and time but its doable

We're doing everything ourselves. I love planning and have had a great time doing it. We also decided on a 2 year engagement to help stretch everything out (though we had all of our major vendors booked within 10 months). We are, however, having a Day of Coordinator who will come in around March/April and will handle all vendor communications, set-up, coordination, and clean-up for the wedding. So, I've done all the legwork and she'll make sure my "vision" is executed on the wedding day. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else planning for me in case it didn't turn out like I wanted.

We hired a Wedding Planner. With my hectic work schedule and FH's unpredictable schedule plus 4 kids to raise we decided it was easier to hire someone to help. BEST DECISION WE'VE EVER MADE.

We're doing everything ourselves. Hopefully we'll be able to hire a day-of coordinator but as of now, it's not looking like it's going to fit into our budget. But we're not having a big wedding anyway so it shouldn't be too hard for us to make sure the day goes smoothly.
