Wedding Planners for the Big Day?!

Julianna, on December 30, 2018 at 4:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
So I've been debating getting a wedding planner for JUST the wedding day, because I don't know if we would be able to afford one for anymore time before that, and I want to make sure everything goes smoothly without making one of my friends and family do it and miss out on the fun. But I have NO IDEA where to find them, much less fathom what the cost would be! I'm already freaking out about STILL not having a photographer, or a cake ordered, or even invitations ordered!

On top of that, my dad flipped out on me about wanting his dad at my bridal shower weekend (the boys are going to the gun range), which would involve my step-grandma coming to my bridal shower... and she's very conceited and selfish, and always wants the spotlight on her. I'm just overwhelmed with the things that were supposed to be sorted out this month, and I feel disgustingly behind with 4 months left 😭

I found my DOC on Craigslist for ~500.
As for the rest, breathe! You'll get it all taken care of!! Not really sure what advice to give you about the grandma situation though :/

Following! I'm in the same boat. Looking for a DOC that's within my budget as well. Take your time - everything will figure itself out!

That is called a day of coordinator. I’ve seen people post on here that they generally are $1-2k.

I checked with all of my coworkers for a referral for a planner and that's how I found mine. It was well worth the investment because I know I will just get to show up and enjoy my day. She will handle the timeline, keep me and my vendors in line, watch our budget and head off pain in the neck family member questions or issues as my point of contact.....PRICELESS!!! Lol! Smiley winking

I'm in the DFW area in Texas, our wedding is gonna be in Ponder, about an hour north of Fort Worth. The whole thing is the huge price for just one person on one day. I know they do a ton of things, but $1K for 10 hours help?? That sounds so crazy to me 😥 plus, my family is taking care of the food, and we're collecting decorations for everything as well. So all our vendor things are pretty much covered, aside from our desserts.
