Wedding planner or not?

Mary, on July 29, 2019 at 6:33 PM Posted in California Planning 0 5
I have about 2 years to plan this wedding but I was wondering if a wedding planner is worth the cost or not? I want everything to run smoothly as well as not have to be running around and stressing on my wedding day to make it perfect. I dont want to be a bridezilla if you understand what I mean. 2 years sounds like a lot but it took almost a year to come to an agreement about color schemes so I'm glad I'm starting earlier tbh. Who did you ho with as a wedding planner and what are some dos and don'ts as far as hiring one?

Hey Mary!! Congratulations on your engagement!!

Is there anything specific that is worrying you about planning your wedding? Two years does sound like a long time to plan your wedding but if you are always second-guessing your decisions, time really will fly by! Hiring a wedding planner would certainly put you at ease that everything is taken care of in a timely manner.

The great thing is that you have plenty of time to find the right wedding planner so you can really find someone that you work well with.

There are a couple of articles from the Ideas section that I think will be helpful to you -

I knew exactly what I wanted for my wedding but my FH wants to be VERY included in the details....every....little....detail lol. so i figured if he knew it a professional was helping he might ease up a bit on his concerns and help me keep my cool as well. I want to do it together dont get me wrong but I just dont want to get stressed by it and just not have anymore fun planning it.

It's so sweet that your FH wants to be involved in the wedding planning!!

It would be a great idea to hire a wedding planner to keep all your plans organized and help you both to destress about planning.

Have you browsed through the WeddingWire vendor search tool yet? There are plenty of California Wedding Planners that you can search through so you can filter your search further based on your specific location, wedding date, and budget. Are you considering a full-service wedding planner?

Hes pretty amazing and I'm glad we found each other! I have loom through the vendors a few times but havent found a whole lot yet. My ex husbands wife is a good freind of mine and is begging me to let her do it but I want her IN my wedding not running it lol she swears she can manage both and I believe her but I want it to be a fun experience as my bridesmaid and not put all the work on her

Yes, that's fair enough! You want her to enjoy your wedding as a guest and not as a vendor working at it! It's so kind of her to offer to help though!

I hope you find the perfect wedding planner!
