My Fiance and I are eloping in Sept. 2020. Friday, we paid the non refundable deposit for our wedding planner and I have yet to hear anything from her. I know my elopement is 15 months away and that I paid on a Friday but I figured I'd at least here something from her by today. If anything, just tell me that you received the payment. Ugh, Im nervous and starting to freak out!

When my friend get married in Costa Rica last year she was basically told that no one would even look at her file until 6 months before the wedding. It sucks, but I think that's just how a lot of places run things.

I understand that. But it'd be great if they would even tell me that. The not hearing anything after giving someone a chunk of money gives me so much anxiety.

I always follow up a payment with an email just to confirm it went through. You can certainly do that.

I would call her to confirm she got the payment, then set up a schedule of what will be planned and when in the next year and a half.
