Wedding Planner for Contract Negotiation

We’ve FINALLY landed on our venue and also a wedding planner. She charges an extra $500 to find venues which includes contract negotiation. Im hoping I can negotiate her price because I just need someone to look over the contract for me since she’s experienced.

Did anyone have their planner review their venue contract for you? If so, was it beneficial?

Hi Nay! Have you already signed your contract with your venue? If so I'd definitely try to negotiate about that venue service, or see if you can get a different upgraded service instead!
My wedding planner looked over all of the contracts I signed with vendors, but I didn't pay for her to find and negotiate the services for me. I can see how it would be helpful though!!

Thank you!!! I went ahead and booked the wedding planner! I just paid her $200 extra and she agreed to work my contracting piece with the venue. Thank goodness she did! I haven’t even asked her to do anything yet and she’s already negotiated and added a free extra hour of load in and out time, a champagne toast, reduced the food beverage minimum by 5k, and made the venue itemized everything I’d be paying for and not a cent more (given my standard asks, for now). So glad I have her working my contract!
