Can you find someone that you can request only x amount of number of hours for? I hired one only to do the set up of my reception

I finally opted for a DoC (mine was also $1800) because I do not want to be stressing anything on my wedding day. And I didn't want to have any of my family or friends stressing either. Our DoC is wonderful and is really helping with reminders on decisions to be made, keeping track of upcoming installment payments due and coordinating with our other vendors as far as timeline and whatnot.

A DOC is worth the cost! They keep your day running smoothly, are the point of contact between all of your vendors on your wedding day (preventing you from having to be by your phone), and put out any fires that may arise on your wedding day. I highly recommend having one. I am SO glad we did. She really worked wonders!

Yea, the DoC, Photog, DJ, Venue (which includes food, drink, tables/chairs/linens/place settings/etc) and artificial flowers were our biggest expenses.

It's A LOT and we're paying for it all ourselves, but I so far do not regret my choice to hire a DoC and I'm comfortable that she will make sure any snafus are dealt with so that I don't need to worry about anything.

We hired a DOC. I didn’t want to have added stress about the day because there wasn’t someone around to take care of everything that needed coordination

Our DOC was the best money that we spent on our wedding and the entire thing wouldn’t have been possible without her and her team.

Ours was around $2200 if I recall, but absolutely worth every penny! Not sure what we would have done without her!

Agree with everyone that my DOC was worth her weight in gold! She dealt with all the small details that I didn’t want to deal with on the wedding day. For example, our dj setup the microphone for our readers at a standard height but she met them both at rehearsal and had him lower it significantly so the stand wasn’t in their faces since they’re both under 5’1”.

Yes, I absolutely agree, if you want to get a seemingly awesome wedding to leave to the expert. You should look stress free during your special day.
