Wedding Planner Books

Vianna, on March 14, 2017 at 11:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 15

My fiancé and I just recently got engaged and I've been looking for a good wedding planner book to help me along. Planning a wedding seems pretty daunting so I'm looking for any help I can get.

I was looking on Erin Condren and those look nice but they're pretty pricey (60&dollarSmiley winking compared to the few that I've seen on Etsy that are half the price.

I would like it to be small enough to fit in my purse so I could bring it with me but also have all the important subjects such as a timeline checklist, etc.

I was just wondering if anyone else out there has any personal recommendations that they've found helpful.

Thanks a bunch!

I was so excited to get one and ended up going with The Knot's binder. I honestly have only used to it store contracts lol. Get something on the less expensive side. Or just a regular ol' planner & a folder for your important docs.

I love my Erin Condren! I wouldn't have spent the money on it but my best friend gifted it to me! I've heard good things about The Knots binder and honestly my FSIL got me a planner from Davids Bridal that has so much helpful info in it. It's huge tho.

I really wanted this. It's amazing and everything I wanted in a book. I told my friend I wanted a wedding planning book for my birthday last month and told her this one. She ended up getting me a binder version but I still might go pick this one up. I found it at books a million and it's also at hobby lobby

I found mine on amazon for $25 or something around there. It's amazing a d has every frigging detail to think of. Best part is I'm able to take pages out to scan them for rough drafts. Take a look on amazon!

These apps with the checklist seem to be SO much easier for me. When I initially started planning, I didn't know about the WW checklist, so I used just a composition notebook which was a total nightmare because I didn't even know the things I should be planning!

I made my own binder. I keep all of my contracts, my guest list, budget, printed copies of emails, payments due, all contact info for my vendors etc. it's all organized under specific tabs. It's super helpful.

I got my planner from Hobby Lobby... it is humongous tho but has been totally helpful! I've stored everything in there from contracts to the groomsmen's receipts for their tux rentals lol they didn't want to keep up with them so I put them in the safest place!

I have the Erin Condren planner. It's really bulky and I hardly use it, so I don't think it worth the money (even though it's beautiful!) I do think the checklist in it is very helpful but you can find a decent checklist on Pinterest. Other than that I just use different excel sheets for budget, vendor contact info, payments due to vendors, and guest list. And I keep hard copies of all our contracts.

Hi Vianna! Are you sold on wanting a physical planner? The WW app has access to your checklist, budget tool, guest list, and saved vendors. You can also search for vendors and access the forums from it!

I have the Know Binder as well. I carry it with me every day with all of my work stuff but I never open it. Between WW and my event coordinator thats all I need. I do have a legal folder that has all of my contracts and receipts in it just to stay organized, and so I can hand it off on the day of and say "here are all my vendors, payments made, etc., don't bother me".

Thank you all so much you've been very helpful. I do plan on using the WW checklist on here but there's something about physically writing things down and checking things off that just makes me feel more organized. Plus, like a lot of you have mentioned, it'd be nice to have one place for all of the receipts and contracts that I could pull out if need be.

I think I will probably go with this one I found on Etsy. It looks to be thin enough to fit in my purse without taking up too much room.

I'm so indecisive so I just know this whole process is bound to give me some stress. Hopefully the planner and apps like WW will help. Lol.

I have the Erin Condren bridal planner and I really don't use it much. However I had a custom binder made from zazzle I believe and print outs from Etsy. I love the fact I could print out the parts that worked for me and organize it however I want. I also can easily save any important information such as the copy of my wedding dress order in the binder.
