I have one but honestly I’m thinking of throwing it out. It’s mainly contracts and receipts, and I think the real wedding photos are more valuable.

I had a wedding planning binder. However, it is mostly full of contracts, receipts, emails between myself and my wedding planner or vendors, and inspo photos. I'm not sure there is anything in there our children would be interested in.

The binder itself is just full of the papers and receipts like others said. I do have a mini time capsule to put more fun wedding planning stuff in there for mementos - our save the dates, copy of invitation, plan to put any cards we get from guests in there, photo strips from the photo booth, cute mini swag from wedding expos, etc. that would be more fun and meaningful to go through than the wedding binder I think.

My binder was mostly business minded. If you are looking for something more sentimental, after our wedding I made a memory box. I had a box custom made (off of Etsy) with our names and wedding date engraved on it. Inside I have special things from our wedding day. It is now displayed in our home. I think that will be something special for our children to one day have and look at.

I have a binder that has all the business stuff and a lot of extra stuff. I'm keeping my binder when all is said and done because it's got a lot of notes and things that have come up over the course of the last year and a half of planning that I want to hold on to, but not to necessarily show anyone... I'm making a shadowbox after the wedding that has all the actual bits in it that will be on display in our house.

Lol yes throwing mine away when everything is over with. I might wait a little while just in case if something happens and we need to prove something on our contracts but other than that my binder is nothing pretty lol.

Yes I am!! Actually, it started out as just my way of staying organized. I'm a very organized person, and like to have all my ducks in a row. But then I was sad at the idea of getting rid of it once the planning was done. So, now I'm expanding it a little. In addition to all the planning pages and magazine cutouts, I'm also adding fabric swatches, and other samples to really capture the choices I looked over and decided on. These details will fade from memory, but I'll have them in the book.

Even though my daughter is grown, she isn't married. I'm hoping to pass the book along to her, and she can pass it along to her daughter!

I was also thinking about doing a scrapbook. I used to do it for a hobbt, and fell out of it. Thanks for posting that, and reigniting the insporation.

OP: I was thinking a scrapbook for inspiration, wedding funness, I have a poloroid camera so I was thinking for my fiancé and I to snap photos during our vendor travels to add to it. I also have a planner with a timeline, which is structure in a more business-like fashion.

I never thought about this but it's a cute idea. Like the other posters, our binder is just full of receipts and payment schedules so I can keep track of everything.
