Wedding planner/ Binder

Chrissy, on June 8, 2019 at 12:40 PM Posted in Planning 0 23
Ladies do you use any kind of wedding planner or do you just collect your ideas as you go and put them in a binder? I'm confused as to if I need a wedding planner or should I keep adding pictures and notes!

I keep a binder with notes and copies of all of my contracts, but I wouldn't spend money on a wedding planning binder. Google and a $4 binder from Target works just as well.

I created a binder for myself after going through this struggle myself! I keep tabs for certain things: calendar, check list, budget list, and inspiration.

I keep a binder that contains contracts, receipts, calendar, a master to do list broken into categories (ceremony, catering, etc.). I have Pinterest full of wedding pins. A planner is great, but not 100% necessary. When it comes down to it, sometimes you have to bite the bullet and choose something. When you make a choice, write down exactly what it is, that way you can keep track of everything. Slowly but surely, everything will come together and before you know it you will have a complete wedding planned.

I found this planner that is AMAZING! I just bought it a few months ago but wish I'd had it from the beginning. Its got pockets to hold forms, contracts, etc. Business card holder in the back. Stickers. A blank calendar for I believe 18 months, budget, inspiration, timeline, guest list section, vendors, gifts, celebrations, honeymoon and more. This thing is truly the all in all. I love that its fil in the blank. It has worksheets too for comparison between vendors.
I think a binder would work great for someone with more time, but I work 60 to 80 hrs a week so that's not for me. But this planner was a lifesaver. Oh, and this is the 4th one I've purchased but the only one that was so flexible and covered during.

I have 2 notebooks filled with my planner...those premade planner pointless to me. They have studded in there that is no where near what I want, so I'd just be ripping out pages lol that would be a waste of money for me.. but pinterest is my main platform of ideas and when I am.sure about something I'll put it in my note book..and then my 2nd notebook is for FOR sure things that I've either put deposit down on or whatever.

I made my own binder... purchased dividers & a binder from Target. I keep the originals of contracts, details packets for the venue, catering, DJ, guest list, budget & receipts. I also use excel. So easy to make changes and keep track of everything!

My FSIL got me a great binder I believe from amazon. It’s the ultimate wedding binder and it has everything in it, checklists, seating charts, guest list info, photographer checklist, etc. it’s nice because it also has lamented spots for receipts and business cards.

I made a binder for myself and MOH that includes a calendar, check list, sections for notes and our to do's etc. Only difference is my binder includes vendor info, guest list, useful articles and section for contracts. Hands down binders are helpful and will keep you organize and on track.

I made my own binder. It has a section for every vendor we’ve hired. Then within each section I have the contracts, receipts, photos, swatches, etc. I also created spreadsheets so I can maintain my budget within my binder. It has worked very well for me. As far as a checklist, I’m just using the ones on the wedding planning apps. My planner told me I’m one of the most organized brides she’s ever seen lol 😂. I guess I’m slightly OCD.

We just use OneNote to write and keep the info's, excel for the budgets, Pinterest for inspiration, and WeddingWire for checklist.

I made my own wedding planning binder. There's a crap ton of printables online, so I just printed out all the things I thought I would need and if I didn't print something and later needed it I just went back and printed it. Mine's made up of a whole bunch of mix and matched pages from different places, but it covers everything I need. Plus I added a section solely for reciepts and things like that!

I’ve actually done both, before we got engaged I just had a binder but after a friend of mine gave me a binder. To be honest, there are feee printable ones and then of course there are the ones you buy in store and then the personalized ones that are a little more. However, I think that our binder has really helped us keep things organized and see a good checklist/timeline for us. We use the “wedding wire” one. I
