Wedding Photographer Regret

Anna, on December 15, 2018 at 10:57 AM Posted in Planning 1 5

Does anyone else out there feel like they wished they went with a different photographer/videographer after they had already paid and signed contracts?

Our communication with our company has been lacking since we paid in full, and the cherry on top was that they just moved our meeting date after we had already changed our holiday plans to meet with them. We have yet to meet them in person, or do a walk through, and we're a month away. We live out of state so travel is more difficult to manage on a whim. Should I be stressing about this?

I’m sorry to hear you’re having a hard time. Maybe instead of emailing, could you pick up the phone?

I havent had this issue with my photographer.

I've emailed, text, and called. I asked him whats the best way to reach him after having a difficult time, and he said email.

Hopefully he’s just busy and this isn’t an indication of how he’ll be on your wedding.

I would make your expectations clear and state that you are feeling unsatisfied with their customer support. You’ve already paid. You should have more control. I’d ask for a refund or percentage back if they don’t comply after you’ve expressed your concerns. That’s a big red flag IMO.

I would send a detailed email letting them know that you are not satisfied and that you’re worried that their lack of communication is unprofessional. If you are paying someone you should get what you want. They also have to abide by that contract. Ask for a refund if you are not satisfied. The best way to communicate right is by email so that you have a paper trail in case the problem doesn’t get resolved.
