Wedding Party order?

I've heard w/the exception of your MOH, order of height. But it's up to you. We are doing how long we have known each of them. i.e. closets to us. I don't think there is a set rule you have to follow, it's your wedding so do it how you feel comfortable and will make you happy

We are doing the tallest girls on the outside (in relation to us at the alter), to the shortest, then the MOH/Best Man, and finally us. But that is just us, we are both much closer to the shorter members of our bridal party.

I think it's all your personal preference, though if you do height, they usually still keep MOH next to you. I'm doing by relationship, personally.

We're doing ours kind of like Will be Mrs B stated. The girls will be (inside to outside) My sister (MOH), my BFF, FHs sister (the older one), FHs littlest sister. The guys are FHs best friend (BM), my brother, his cousin, his other cousin

Thanks for posting. I would like to hear how everyone is doing this. I was thinking the order should be by relationship and how close you are to them or years you've known them. FMIL wants it to be in order by height. I'm still undecided at this point.

We're doin jr. bridesmaid, maids in order of height and MOH which happens to be the tallest so it works out.

Aside from our MOH and best man, everyone else will be place by height, from shortest to tallest, personally I think it look weird when you have a tall girl in the middle, one short behind and in front of her, all weddings have attending or been in has always been set by height. But like others have already stated, there's no set rules, you can go with whatever you want, it's mostly a personal preference.

I kind of wanted it to be that way, but the way we were lined up, height-wise it wouldn't have made sense. It would have been tall person, tall person, really short person, tall person, tall person. So it would've looked funny. So I did it by height. Honestly, I think its best that way because it would suck to be in a wedding and be lined up by "rank" and be the person on the end But of course my MOH was first.

I would also like to thank you for posting this question. While it does not apply to me, now I know how to answer should my daughter ask. I do believe the first time around, I did it by height.

That's what I was thinking too kk, it would really suck to be the last one, it might hurt some feelings unless the BMs have no idea why they're placed that way...hah

Woot my MOH is the tallest =). On the groom side that won't work though as the Best Man is not the tallest =(.
