Wedding Party Help ! Matron of Honor husband is in the wedding.

Soon2bMrsJamerson, on November 8, 2013 at 12:48 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

I'm in need of some help. Ok. Ill try not to confuse everyone lol. Ok I have two Matrons of Honors and 4 bridesmaids. 1 best man and 4 groomsman. Is it ok to have both Matrons walk alone and pair the matron's husband up with one of the bridesmaids? Or have 1 matron walk alone and the other with her husband. But then I will have one of the groomsmen walking down with two bridesmaids ? Or have the best man walk down with one of the bridesmaids, then only one matron will walk alone?

2 matrons (Usually walks alone right ?) 1 best man(Usually doesnt walk.Stands next to groom)

4 bridesmaids 4 groomsmen (1 groomsmen being the matrons husband)

I would probably just keep it consistent and pair the bridesmaids and groomsmen and keep the MOHs by themselves. Its just walking down the aisle lol

I have a similar situation, not with the MOH but 2 of the BMs are married to two of the GMs... because of the order they won't be walking together. They'll live!

We will have them announced together at the reception and sitting together obviously.

I will have an uneven bridal party... The groomsmen will walk down alone and then the bridesmaids will walk down... on the way back the the groomsmen will get a girl and when they run out the men walk alone... No big deal.

I'm not having the men walk at all. They'll head to the front and line up when the ceremony is ready to begin.

We have two married couples but are doing the same as Miss DB - Groomsmen will stand up front, except my brother who will be walking my mom down

For the recessional, they'll just have to get over being paired somewhat awkwardly for 30 seconds. We are not doing a bridal party entrance into the reception

We had 1 Matron and 1 Maid of honor, 4 BM, 4 GM and 1 Bestman. The Bestman waited at the alter with DH while the BM and GM walked the aisle. I had the MOH and Matron walk alone followed by the FG and RB.

We had 2 Matrons of Honor, 5 Bridesmaids, and 1 Jr. Bridesmaid, 1 Best Man, 1 Head Groomsman, and 6 regular groomsmen - so total, we had 8 women and 8 men standing with us (in case you lost count LOL).

To make everything even, we gave the title of "Head Groomsman" to my brother-in-law, who was escorting his wife/my sister/one of my Matrons of Honor.

    So, our line up was:

Matron of Honor & Best Man

Matron of Honor & Head Groomsman

    Bridesmaid & Groomsman

    Bridesmaid & Groomsman

    Bridesmaid & Groomsman

    Bridesmaid & Groomsman

    Bridesmaid & Groomsman

    Jr. Bridesmaid & Groomsman

Our bridal ladies all walked in by themselves, but were escorted out of the ceremony by their escorts - in traditional wedding fashion.

    Hope that helps!! Smiley winking
