Make sure that you also contact the BBB. They will get in touch with her right away, and make it known to other brides that she has had these things happen.

I agree with wowjunkie. and then when your done getting everything legal, you said shes gotten good reviews on weddingwire right? go onto her page and slam her! vendors totally deserve to get a good review when they do a good job, but they also deserve to get a bad one when they dont.

Oh yeah also sue her for whatever fee she charged you and def leave a review on WW so other brides will know she's shady!

Mrs.??T or not I was just reading this Has this person taken care of it yet? Call Clerks office have them look under Marriage License and also Reg filing. Maybe wishful thinking someone filled it in system, wrong?! But in Florida we have to filled it personally as an Officiant and Planner we take license, no matter what mail Orginial to Clerk of Court or drop it off in person. OOMY I would deff wait at her door, I would call Notary Commission and let them know what she did and BBB and any Bridal Website. That is worse then NOT showing up. She was paid to do you a service that she didnt complete.

I agree with analy, contact the BBB NOW! I had to contact the BBB on money oweed to us by a company and WOW, did they take care of it!

I'm so glad to logged on... maybe I will go back to work tomorrow..I've been home sick for 2 days(which soooo is'nt like me at all, I'm usually bouncing all over the place)but I think that this situation has'nt helped...I will keep you all posted! well I guess if I get to marry him all over again.. Hehe...if you wanna be sneaky about it, have a friend call and pretend they're scheduling a consultation. Then go in your friends place, catch her off guard and demand she give you her copy. That way you can go file it yourself. Which is what Stephen and I did. (Not that we didn't trust the guy we hired, but we were only in town for a day and we felt better doing it ourselves so it was all final before we went back home.)

That is crazy...and I would of became crazy pretty quick had this happen to me.....You are much stronger than I am..thats for sure!!

Please keep us posted and I hope that she did respond today..maybe the county can revoke her priveledges or something to make her take responsibility for her laziness...

LOL - I love Carmen's idea too! As the others have said, worst case scenario just stroll into the JOP one afternoon and get married then. You can just have random people as witnesses (just keep telling yourself that years later, you will look back on this and laugh) then sue your officiant for the fees!

Ok Girls... decided it was time I got my butt in gear and went back to work today... yeah me..haha..

checked my e-mail when i got to my office(shhhhh...!! LOL)

I had written one final e-mail last night and made my feeling very clear and blew up the blog and phone with it also.... and TaDa.... I got an e-mail back from her ;0)... it was a "generic" message not exactly directed to me... but it said that she would be filing any licenses.. (MINE) today ... she also sent it to the clerks office in my town... so... lets see what happens! I'm very excited to see if they recieve it by friday.. That would be such a relief..(she was supposed have it filed with in 5 days of the marriage according to my town clerks office) eh... a month ...but I am greatful that she is now answering! sooooo.. I will let you all know what happens.. talk to ya on friday! hope all is going good with everyone! Thanks for all the shoulders! :0)

What a mess, I'm so sorry! See if you can get into touch with others who also had used her and see if this is a trend. That is really sad because officiants work really hard to earn trust and show their integrity. Hopefully she's doing okay in life, but it sounds like you've been really kind in a crazy, frustrating, and unnerving process, so props to you!
