Wedding Nightmares

Welp, its begun. The wedding nightmares. Got an email last Friday that me dress was in! Yay! So I drive the 8 hours home after work so me, my mom, and FMIL can all go to the shop and make sure everything looks good. I stayed at FMILs house (my parents smoke so I wont stay there), and I crash as soon as I get in.

Woke up Saturday practically crying because of the nightmare. We all went to the shop and they showed me my dress. First of all, it wasnt even my dress. It was some weird halter top and skirt combo. Ot was the wrong color. Now, I'm not talking it was white when it was supposed to be ivory wrong. The thing was SALMON PINK. Seriously. For whatever reason I tried it on, and my mom came at me with a needle and thread and tried to start sewing the skirt to the top. Ended up with a huge hole in the skirt. I'm bawling my eyes out in the shop and ran into the back. That's when I woke up.

What?

Thankfully, my dress was PERFECT! No rips or missing buttons or anything. It's the right color. And it barely zipped lol. I've gained a little weight due to a medicine I was on, but I know I will lose it by June when I need to go back in for another fitting. It's only about 10 to 15 pounds and I can lose that with some cardio a few times a week.

Mine all revolve around way too many people showing up. One i had like 12 people claiming unsaid they were bridesmaids and I threw a major fits. Then 300 people stormed the reception, ate everything in sight then left immediately while FH and I were getting ready to come into the venue.

I haven’t had nightmare yet but I’ve had two awful anxiety attacks where my heart was racing, I felt like I couldn’t breathe, and I almost threw up from stress...the first one was about the guest list and the second one was about a minor, insignificant disagreement my FH and I had 🤦‍♀️
I’m so glad Im not the only one dealing with intense emotions leading up to the wedding.

Oh no! I'm so sorry you're dealing with that! Anxiety sucks! Planning can definitely be stressful! I'm glad we decided on a longer engagement because it has definitely helped ease the stress a lot for us.

For a while I had one that I was nine months pregnant and couldn’t wear my dress. Then I started having different ones like my venue could only hold 50 ppl for dinner and the rest would have to sit outside in the cold.

I had a dream that my venue cancelled my wedding a week prior because they had accidentally double booked. I haven't really slept well at all since planning has begun but hopefully as things get checked off the list it will get better.

Dreamt we had our wedding in a school auditorium for some reason (we are supposed to be in a garden) and no bridesmaid had the right dress on. We somehow got $100,000 from gifts, so I guess there was that 😅

I had a terrible one last night! I had completely lost track of time and was super late and not prepared about 20 minutes before go time. I was actually 30 minutes away from the venue somehow! In rushing around to get there, I forgot my petticoat (which is a ballgown one, so it was a big problem) and just had a meltdown. The worst part was in the dream I blamed everyone around me except myself. I was a terrible stereotypical bridezilla and I was angry and raging and miserable in the dream.
I basically was my own nightmare o.O It was pretty terrible. I swear I'm not prone to doing any of those things (I'm always early, armed with lists, and generally own up when it's my own fault).

Oh boy! That's crazy!! Just makes you want to be EXTRA prepared now doesnt it? I'm the same way, lists and always leaving earlier than I need to!

It does, but I don't think I can possibly be more prepared! I have a loooong day of checklist for before I leave my house, everything is already packed in bins WITH labels on the covers that tell the person setting up what's in each box. I have a set up guide very clearly and neatly printed out, I have pages on contact info for my VIPs and vendors, and I have what I think is the best day of emergency kit, I've been super ready for over a week, haha!
