Wedding Nightmares

Welp, its begun. The wedding nightmares. Got an email last Friday that me dress was in! Yay! So I drive the 8 hours home after work so me, my mom, and FMIL can all go to the shop and make sure everything looks good. I stayed at FMILs house (my parents smoke so I wont stay there), and I crash as soon as I get in.

Woke up Saturday practically crying because of the nightmare. We all went to the shop and they showed me my dress. First of all, it wasnt even my dress. It was some weird halter top and skirt combo. Ot was the wrong color. Now, I'm not talking it was white when it was supposed to be ivory wrong. The thing was SALMON PINK. Seriously. For whatever reason I tried it on, and my mom came at me with a needle and thread and tried to start sewing the skirt to the top. Ended up with a huge hole in the skirt. I'm bawling my eyes out in the shop and ran into the back. That's when I woke up.

What?

Thankfully, my dress was PERFECT! No rips or missing buttons or anything. It's the right color. And it barely zipped lol. I've gained a little weight due to a medicine I was on, but I know I will lose it by June when I need to go back in for another fitting. It's only about 10 to 15 pounds and I can lose that with some cardio a few times a week.

I had a dream that there was another wedding the same day as mine at my venue, and everything under the sun went wrong. Photographer didnt show up, FFIL had to take pictures but couldn't walk FH down which is important to him. Dj didnt have the correct ceremony music so they had a terrible pianist. Hair and makeup never got done, and my veil was damaged and couldn't be worn. At this freak out moment, I'm waiting behind a wall to go walk down the isle, when the other wedding ended and all of their guests were walking past me and stepping on my dress!!! Terrible nightmare! Fortunately, I know we hired great vendors and my venue is a one wedding only per day so it will not happen!

I have lots of nightmares, all of them related to the cake, the logistics of the day, too many people showing up, or photographers not there. I guess those are the things that stress me out the most, but seriously, nightmares don’t help me... In one of them I was crying when I woke up. Then I share it with my FH and he’s cracking up saying “Babe, chill, everything will be perfect. You’re just too stressed out with everything...” (caveat to this, he is the one planning most things from PR because I live in NYC and can only travel once every 2-3 months).

My nightmare was actually getting ready for the ceremony and then realizing that my dress never came in! So I am just standing there with my hair and makeup done but no dress to walk down the aisle, and my mom is telling me that my FH and everyone is waiting for me at the church. I know its highly unlikely but that still made my heart skip several beats when I woke up.

I’m glad I’m not the only one...lol I keep having a nightmare where I forget to write my vows and realize it as soon as I’m about ready to walk down the aisle 😂 maybe this is just our bodies’ way of saying we need to de-stress a little and enjoy the process!

The only one ive had is me finding out im pregnant day before the wedding like over night baby belly pops out and im pukey all morning on the wedding day. I think it means one of my bridesmaids is going to get pregnant lol

I was having nightmares. Everything from my dress not fitting, to the groom being late.

Now that we're down to almost 3 weeks, i'm not even sleeping because the list of things to get done just runs through my mind all night!

Not sure which is worse. Nightmares or insomnia. Lol

We are planning on tax returns to pull this off and I have to loose 20 lbs to get in my dress without major reconstruction, so those have been consuming my dreams. Other than that, we are literally getting married on a volcano and I've had dreams about it going off prior to the wedding.

I had a dream a couple nights ago that we went on our honeymoon to Puerto Rico (I went a couple years ago), which is weird because we haven’t really even started thinking about our honeymoon and where to go, it was kind of random. And I only packed the bare basics I need to survive, no swim suit, sunglasses, snorkel, Kindle. I felt really sad because we couldn’t do very much (idk why I didn’t just buy stuff at the store, I woke up before that). Not really a dream about thee actual wedding, but I wanted to share it.

My nightmare was about me forgetting to book a caterer haha so there was no food! Thankfully that was one of the first things we booked (hey I like food okay) so I know I dont have to worry about that happening!
