Hi everyone! So like my title says, I have my wedding in ?TWO MONTHS?! I just got engaged about two weeks ago, and we want to get married ASAP. So I did my research already about the themes and I actually I have bought my wedding dress already. I just want to be able to plan accordingly within this next two months before my wedding. I have classes and he also has work. So how do I plan the next months? I also already have a spreadsheet of my timeline for the following months, however, I would like to know what I should prioritize for my wedding. What are the essentials?

Why are people telling her she's too young to marry? What? This is inane! She came for budget and checklist advice, not to be dismissed because of her age! Come on people show more respect... we don't know anything about this woman or her relationship, who are we to judge? It's like saying "Oh there's too much of an age gap go find someone your age, or you're too old to get married" geez! @OP there are good advice about catering and budgeting, consider those. Best wishes with planning!

Sorry, no help. Kudos to you and good luck!

Thank you to those of you with unwavering support! I really much appreciate the love. It's really been a tough few weeks for me and my FH due to a few people who have been unsupportive of our decision. But I know that at the end of it all, it will all be okay! I see that a number of people are requesting to see my dress so I have attached a collage of the dress when I first tried it! Smiley laugh It is made by Pronovio and originally costed about $2k. However, what's so awesome is that I got it for only $107!! It was on the clearance rack at a local bridal shop, and I just happened to be super lucky that day. The lady told us they were only by appointment but she was willing to show us around, and my oh my, I was delighted to have her be so nice to us! But yeah, I just need to get it hemmed and it's all good to go! Smiley smile

First pretty dress .. second good luck ... your obviously not looking to have a freaking over the top fabulous wedding and that's okay ... you must have alcohol and catering and on 2k that's impossible ... id personally wait ... I won't bash that your too young but I will say this people change significantly in their early 20s .. I'm 30 and on my second marriage... my first was shotgun because my ex was in the military.. why not have a cake and punch wedding since that is way more affordable ... cake and punch garden weddings are darling

A lot of people don't realize that in LDS culture, marrying young is pretty much a guarantee. My ex boyfriend was Mormon and by the time I was 17 and he was 18 we were getting pressured by the family to get married. His cousin had just gotten married at 18 - it's a cultural thing. If this is what you want to do, then go for it. Just make sure you offer a proper meal to your guests and don't worry about alcohol (this is a rare exception to that rule). PPs probably don't know that alcohol and caffeine is pretty strictly forbidden in the LDS church.

Thank you for the compliments! And no, I will not be having alcohol at the event, strictly because the church doesn't allow it, and I don't like alcohol LOL! And the cake and punch wedding idea is starting to stick to me, so I will figure something out, probably use it as a back up plan. But my FH's mom seem to want to go all out on this. Our wedding budget may change depending on the contribution his parents are willing to give, as well as mine. But cake and punch really seems like a good idea too! Thanks guys!
