Wedding in TWO MONTHS! HELP!

Katrina, on May 22, 2017 at 11:15 PM Posted in Planning 0 109

Hi everyone! So like my title says, I have my wedding in ?TWO MONTHS?! I just got engaged about two weeks ago, and we want to get married ASAP. So I did my research already about the themes and I actually I have bought my wedding dress already. I just want to be able to plan accordingly within this next two months before my wedding. I have classes and he also has work. So how do I plan the next months? I also already have a spreadsheet of my timeline for the following months, however, I would like to know what I should prioritize for my wedding. What are the essentials?

Food, alcohol, a venue, an officiant. And before any of that a guest list and a budget.

Good for you already getting a dress! I would say that finding a venue is going to be really important and a high priority.

Do you have a venue? Photographer? Caterer? Officiant?

No Venue No Date- Good luck getting one on such short notice- It's NOT impossible, just tough. What were you thinking for venue?

Budget first. How many people are you wanting to host?

Definitely book a venue! You don't have a date without that and you'll need to get invites ordered and mailed out asap. Hopefully you can find an all inclusive venue. That will help a lot.

Find a venue to confirm the date and go from there. I suggest officiant, catering, a planner, photographer and videographer first.

Officiant? That should definitely be your priority. And catering.

Our gut feeling is giving us a strong conviction to do it on our 6th anniversary! Also, we're trying to move in together in Fall and due to religion, we can't move in together before we're married! Smiley smile

Sooo how many of your vendors (caterer, dj, photographer, etc) are friendors ( friend who's working at your wedding)? Eta: also who's making the food for this wedding a caterer or your family?

    First relax.

It took me two months to plan my wedding and a year to pay it off; so it can be done.

Our church provides a free venue (with chairs and tables too). Usually the bigger ones have a nice large lawn (which is where im doing the garden wedding at, rustic themed) and they have an indoor venue too, which is usually a basketball court. Smiley smile As for food, that's what we are unsure of. My family might cater, but if not, i still need to find a caterer. My sister and her husband are wedding photographers and videographers so they offered their services for free. And as for the officiant, my fiancee said that his bishop is probably willing to do it, we just need to fill him in with the Filipino traditions we're adding to the ceremony because I'm Filipino lol. We currently have $1900 in our budget. Venue was free, and my dress costed only $107 (I would post a picture of it it too if you guys would like to see! It was such a steal.). Our problem now is how much should we spend on everything else. If you guys would like more info, I can maybe post a screenshot of our budget plan? Thanks again! Smiley laugh

You need to find a caterer, and budget for that. Do not make your family work on your wedding day.

Do not hire your sister or your husband. You will not end up with the photos that you want. Do not make your family work on your wedding day.

Your budget is fine for a very small wedding. How many guests are you having?

Most likely less than 100. And I mean, it wasn't me who offered. It was my sister who brought the idea to me. But if ever, I do know someone else who can do it...

There's no chance you can have a wedding for 100 people on $1900. Wait a year and have it on your 7th anniversary.
