Hi everyone! So like my title says, I have my wedding in ?TWO MONTHS?! I just got engaged about two weeks ago, and we want to get married ASAP. So I did my research already about the themes and I actually I have bought my wedding dress already. I just want to be able to plan accordingly within this next two months before my wedding. I have classes and he also has work. So how do I plan the next months? I also already have a spreadsheet of my timeline for the following months, however, I would like to know what I should prioritize for my wedding. What are the essentials?

Find a venue with your date- good luck! Then deal with everything else. Also get a budget set.

    You're in Utah.

ETA: yep. Just finished reading comments. I've been to several weddings like this. The ol' church gym.

@constance I just want my sister in it, not much of her husband lol. @hope I'm not gonna have it in the church gym, I'm having it outside on the big ol' lawn for a garden rustic wedding lol!

Plenty brides in their 30s and 40s plan poorly. There's evidence of it all throughout these threads.

Utah in late July though... it'll be a scorcher. People will go inside to avoid passing out.

And wait. You're doing this essentially on the front lawn of a ward building?

@Hope It's actually not in Utah, it's gonna be in California! Auburn Stake Center to be exact! Smiley smile so there will be lots of trees, it's in the mountains.

@ A.L.C. and Olivia - with all due respect, butt out. It's none of your damn business how old the OP is, and it's definitely not your place to tell someone whether or not they are old enough to get married. Considering that neither one of your have even gotten married yet, you certainly seem to think you've got all the best marital advice to dish out.

OP, you're not gonna get the advice that you're looking for on these forums. Try offbeat bride instead.

You do what you want haha!! Sometimes I think people on this forum are kind of touchy and closed minded to anything. It's like it's my way or the highway. In the end, it is your wedding. I support what you're doing! I've seen weddings planned in a much shorter period of rime than you have, and they were simple and perfect. Have fun girl!

Thank you everyone. My next step will be opening up an account to use mainly for just the wedding. And I will find a caterer, thank you!

Umm woah. Tithing does not equal using a church for free. I tithe too, every paycheck. And I don't think that gives me free ride to use my church as I please.

Lol "I've enjoyed enough of my young life." Truer words never spoken about marrying young. Take pp advice, if you're set on this, definitely hire caterers, photographers, etc.

I think budget/guest list venue, and officiant are you major things.

After that caterer, and then any other vendor.

@MeettheBrowns I apologize, it did come off that way. I take back what I said. Smiley sad What I meant is just that the church is just very gracious to lend us their lawn for the event. And thanks again everyone!

What @future said all the way. And yes it is age discrimination, although you'd rather paint it in another light.
