Wedding Hashtags 🤔

For pros I think it allows all your guests to post their photos where you can find them!

I don't know of any cons, but I'm not particularly social media savvy anyways, so I haven't thought to make one yet!

We aren’t doing a hashtag. I think it is good if you are really into social media and don’t mind guests posting photos during the reception, but FH and I are asking guests not to post until we’ve gotten a chance to. We have our privacy settings as high as they can be in social media just in case someone posts us without permission.

We are much more private than most people when it comes to social media and won’t even be publicly announcing our wedding date. We announced our engagement and will announce our marriage the day after our wedding. I have some unwelcome guests who WILL show up if they find out the time and location.

I'm pretty private (my IG is private, so unless you're my friend on there, you don't get to see my life lol). But the one thing I did want to do was a hashtag. It's just a cute, fun thing and I don't know if anyone will actually use it or not, but it was the one thing I wanted lol.

I think the only cons might be that they are tough to think up, and they only work if your guests know about them and use them. Otherwise it's totally fine to skip them if they don't seem like your thing. Have you thought any more about whether you want to have one or not?
