wedding hashtags...how does this work?

Twitter & Instagram - click search/explore and type in the tag, it will show all public accounts that have photos that have used it. you can also click on the hashtag in the comments and it will lead you to the same search. private profiles that you are not following will not show up. its used as a comment.

example:

check out my wedding dress photos! (upload photo) #davidsbridal #weddingdress #doilookfatinthis

hashtags are public domain so check for some before you pick one so its not already in use, its best to make it unique to avoid random photos.

I used #ZottolaWedding and I had no idea it was a common last name.

Haha I was just looking into this yesterday. I think we are going to use both our last names because I have a rare last name and his is very common. #reynoldswedding and #reynolds2014 was EVERYWHERE when I searched twitter!

I LOVE wedding hashtags! on every picture you want to include just comment with your hashtag. make sure to search them before you create one and make sure no one else is using it already. ours is #gabriels2014 simple but we got lucky and its all ours. . .for now lol

Oh damn!! I just went on IG to check on my hashtag and it's being used!! WTF!!! UGHIII Now I mad...and my wedding isn't for another year...sigh...

Mine was taken by 3 photos, #lastnamewedding but i changed it to #thelastnamewedding and its all empty, i actually added a photo today to lay the ground work.

Haha! I just laid my groundwork too by posting a picture of us and in my caption saying that i was just claiming my wedding hashtag!

My first choice, #Gregory2014 is already used. I was trying to keep it simple, so everyone would remember it and it would actually get some use out of it. However, everyone has my idea. I think I'm going to use #OHeyitstheGregorys or #Ohmywedidit lol. Something with some sparkle!

We are using a hashtag as well #LastnameWeddingNYE since it will be on New Years Eve. I also checked it without the NYE and there were like 3 different weddings using it lol no bueno. Another option we are using is the WedPics app

For people with private instagram accounts; their hashtagged pics won't show in the search- FYI
