Hey Friends!


First, thank you so much to all those who helped me prepare for my first gown try-on! It went very well. I ended up with no bra, and nude spanx. During my appointment, I fell in love with this dress. I have it on hold until Wednesday! I have another dress appointment Wednesday morning that I’m seeing if anything can top this one. My wedding is in July, although it’s in the heat of summer, I’m wearing a flower crown, hair will have extensions to my boobs, big curls, pictures will be in the woods, very whimsical, romantic, boho-ish! FH is wearing a navy suit with a black felt cowboy hat. We are eloping and not having a big wedding (although having a fancy dinner with our parents and close friends), we just want amazing pictures to document our day!! Wedding Gown Opinions!! 1

    You look beautiful! My only suggestion is you said your wedding is in July, and depending on where you live, this gown will be very very hot. Still gorgeous tho!

    Thank you so much!! I completely agree, I will be very hot LOL it’s usually around 80 degrees in MI in July. I just have my heart set on this vision of sleeves, full skirt, flower crown in the woods, and I’ll deff pay for it day of LOL luckily the ceremony and dinner will be inside with AC so I’ll only be outside for a bit to take pictures 🤞🏼🤞🏼

    Very beautiful! My only concern would be the humidity. I was in MI last July and sweated my bum off.

    Agree with the others, I think the dress is stunning and look so gorgeous on you, the heat would be the only thing that would give me pause, but you said you're determined to have sleeves, and those ones are thinner than others might be, so if that's the look you want, I say go for it!

    Thank you so much!!! The heat worries me too, but I keep telling myself I’ll only be outside for pictures and the sleeves are sheer! Fingers crossed!!

    If that's what you really want you should totally be able to suck it up just for a little while! I mentioned something similar to my alterations lady (I added sleeves before we postponed, and then was worried I'd be too hot) and she was like "you won't even notice" lol!

    I am an absolute sucker for a dress with sleeves and this one looks like it was made for you! It was 82 degrees on my (outdoor) wedding day and I had very similar sleeves; that isn't what's going to make you feel hot. Maybe the full skirt will, but unless you go for a tea length dress, the skirt will be hot.


    Final thoughts: do it, do it, do it!!

    That dress is beautiful! It looks amazing on you. If you find something better than that, then it will be the gold mine of wedding dresses because that is a tough act to follow!
