Wedding gown appointment

I wore a nude strapless bra and some high waisted spanx, the store also had a slip available I could have worn. You can also double check with the store for what they recommend or provide.

Another vote on spanx or something similar so you dont have to worry about seeing colors or pantylines through any dresses. I took my bra off and tried on everything that way, but a nude strapless bra is your best bet if you want to wear one!

As long as it’s nude, whatever you’re comfortable in. The lady next to me had dark blue underwear and bra on and you could see EVERYTHING!
I ended up taking my bra off because all of the dresses were padded.

I worse a strapless nude bra and a nude thong because I was not wearing anything to “keep me tight”. I planned on wearing nothing extra. At the end, I ended up wearing nude spandex and nipple covers under my dress and I was fine.

Keep it nude for sure. The one place I went actually had stuff you could borrow to wear under too; like strapless long line bras. So you could ask the shop before you go what they suggest and if they do that as well; if they sell undergarments they will want to sell you both and may have you wear both for try-ons.

A nude bra and black underwear. for some dresses I took my bra off

I brought a strapless bra along but never used it. For some I just had my regular bra on and for others I went braless altogether. I think it’s whatever you *and your stylist* are comfortable with.

I only wore white full coverage panties! Most dresses these days have bra cups already sewn in.

Wear what you plan to wear on the day - I know you're not sure yet, but for example, if you think you'll need/want to wear Spanx for the tummy, wear some so you can see how they look under a dress. This is especially true for low back dresses or dresses with cutouts. Basically, you want to see if the Spanx will show through the dress. Another vote for nude underwear!


You should not need to wear a bra with the dress...you'll have cups sewn in.

Wear whatever makes you comfortable, I wore a nude bra and black panties. I didn’t have a clue on what type of dress I wanted or what style so I just wore my regular stuff. I definitely say wear some thing better than laundry day but not so risky as boudoir. LOL! Some dresses do come with cups already sewn in to the dress, but my dress didn’t have that so I’m having them sewn in when I have my alterations appointment. Getting good shape where that makes you comfortable is always a good idea. If you don’t have it when you go try on dresses, be sure to have it when you do alterations. good luck, and be sure to share with us what you pick!

I wore nude seamless underwear and a bra but ended up not wearing the bra when trying on

I went in just looking but they did supply shoes, a slip, a griddle, and many dresses. I would suggest go with the size of shoes you want to wear your dress with so that you can actually see and envision with your dress.
