Wedding flowers.....and bouquets.

Edith, on July 16, 2020 at 5:25 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 5

Hello brides,

I have decided to put together my bridal bouquets (4 total) 3 bridesmaids plus myself for my October wedding. Has anyone ever purchased from Fifty Flowers or Costco? I don't know if i am in over my head by trying to put these together myself but florist can be ridiculously expensive. Any ideas or recommendations? Have any of you put together your own bouquets and arrangements.

My cousin got her florals from Costco, and they all turned out beautiful! They did all the bouquets plus all the centerpieces for the tables. Now I will say, they were all extremely basic (greenery & white flowers). So if you are thinking of doing something elaborate, I would highly suggest you taking a trip to Hobby Lobby and trying your hand at arranging bouquets with their fake flowers. I did that & found out I don’t have the gift 😂😂

We wrapped our bouquets ourselves with grocery store flowers and they turned out great! Just watch some YouTube videos to learn how to do it, and make sure to buy more ribbon than you think you need lol.

Check out Flower Moxie! I just did the $35 one hour consultation today and was really impressed. We reviewed my pinterest board, budget, flowers I like/dislike, and what types of arrangements I am planning on having, and they will be sending me a suggested cart for what flowers they recommend to achieve my vision and flower recipes for how many stems/what kind of flowers to include in each arrangement. It basically takes the guesswork out of the DIY. I read a lot of reviews before picking them and they seem to have very good quality flowers. Even if you don't go with them, they have so many awesome tutorial videos on their site!

Not in anyway affiliated with them - I'm just SUPER EXCITED after my consult today Smiley laugh

I suggest searching for local flower farms to purchase your flowers from. i had the same idea as you but quickly got overwhelmed trying to figure out what supplies i needed in addition to the flowers to make my vision come to life. i eventually just asked the owner of the flower farm i was going to buy my flowers from if she could arrange the flowers and deliver them ad she was happy to do so.
