Wedding flats? Lace? Toms?

Lena, on April 15, 2013 at 10:20 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

My FH is EXACTLY the same height as me, so I'm really trying not to wear heels or anything that will make me taller than him. He really wants me in boots bc I'm hoping to fall in love with a tea length dress, but cowboy boots usually have some heel to them too, so I'm trying to focus on flats, or maybe bridal Toms. Any ladies wearing flats or toms? I'd LOVE to see photos if you are!!

I'm wearing heels because my FH is tall and also I just love to wear high heels, but I think these are so cute for a bride who wants to wear flats

I wore Toms ballet flats for our wedding. They came out around this time last year and then they seemed to have discontinued the line. They now appear to have re-designed and introduced them again.

Anyways I got them in a rose linen fabric and I loved them. I had trouble finding flats because everything was sparkly and clashed with my soft lace dress. The rose linen was subtle and complemented my dress best. The cut of the ballet flats was a little more feminine than their classic styles. Unfortunately their new line of ballet flats this year doesn't have a whole lot of color options yet, and nothing really "bridal."

I have ordered all three of these shoes, the flip flops in blue. Will see how any of them look with the dress. My dress is JUST long enough and I didn't want to order extra length so I have to wear flats, too.

I love that idea because I hate heels! But if my dress is really dressy wouldn't that be off alil bit. Plus I can't stand foot sweat and I feel like those toms would make ur feet sweat lol my wedding is in the middle of august

Right now I have blingy flat sandals, but I may check out the ballet flat toms...but I also found these on Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/listing/111405933/satin-and-lace-wedding-shoes-ballet?ref=usr_faveitems) and think they're super cute (she customizes them for your color)

I really like the idea of Tom's, but I think I might go with a colored pair (definitely not white or the lace because I am worried they will get dirty). Plus, I want to be able to wear them again.

If you have a short dress, that might not work so much. I would look into the Tom's ballet flats though. That might work for you and look nice with your dress.
