Wedding favors ?

Rabeel, on June 17, 2019 at 8:17 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11
I initially decided not to do any wedding favors but now I kind of feel like I should. Is it necessary to have wedding favors ?

It is not necessary, and really, a lot of times it's a waste of money. If you do decide to have favors my suggestion is to focus on something edible, unique, and maybe dual purposed... not to mention try not to spend over $2 per guest.

We decided to make joint escort cards and favors:

Our wedding favors cost $4!! I got the soldiers from our local Dollar Store. I had a box around the house that was given to me for Christmas a few years ago. (The picture isn’t mine but a picture I found on Pinterest). I typed the word of a computer.

    Hi there Rabeel Smiley smile

    Welcome to the WeddingWire community!

You definitely don’t have to do wedding favor if you don’t want to. It’s completely up to the couple!

What were you thinking of doing as favors?

Everything I've read and researched says that wedding favors are the one definite thing you can feel good with excluding. We went to a wedding recently and they did lottery tickets with a penny included. So, that's what we are going to do because we loved it! Who doesn't enjoy the chance of winning some cash? Figure it'll cost a total of $1.50 each guest with the ticket, penny, and cost of the envelopes off amazon.

We are doing drink koozies. I bought them in bulk and my mom printed a saying on them. We're also having a candy buffet so people can fill bags to take home as well. But you definitely do not have to do favors.

Favors aren't needed but some guests still appreciate them. One idea to do to save money and have favors is to have your favor double as something else. For us, our favor is also being used as what will let guests know their table number (shot glasses with flags coming out)

Not a neccessity. I usually don't take favors unless they're useful. I have been to a few weddings where there weren't favors and they werent missed. Also a wedding I was at recently, most of the favors (coasters, which i thought was cute and took one) were left behind.

It's not necessary unless it's something you want to have. If I do have them they'll be something edible.

Not necessary. I'll tell ya now that I had a bunch of candy for a candy buffet but alot of it ended up still there.
I did also get glow sticks and saw my bridesmaids handing those out.
However I do think they're really nice because they're a little thank you to your guests
