Wedding dress tight in the arms/shoulders. Turned my skin red and started to have a rash. Runners wax?

Hannah, on March 30, 2015 at 10:37 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

I picked up my wedding dress on Saturday. It is really tight in the chest area and up by my shoulder. I started to get a red mark that turned into a rash just by walking around the bridal store.

I asked the shop owner if she suggested anything and she said runners wax. Have any of used it on your wedding day or have any other suggestions?

I'm just starting my workout plan and I'm hoping that will help how tight the dress is in my chest.

You can kinda see the redness in the picture on my left shoulder.

I used Body Glide on my feet the day of my wedding. I usually get terrible blisters from strappy shoes, but didn't get any at all that day Smiley smile

BUT. . . I do think its a little concerning that you got irritated after only wearing the dress I assume to try it on for a few minutes. . . .if it is still tight when you go back for alterations, I would ask to have it let out a bit.

Wow that dress is beautiful mine has an illusion neckline like that too. It's terribly itchy around the top! My bridal consultant gave me this wax stuff that I put a litle bit on my neck right where it rubs, and then I don't even feel it's there!

I love your dress! I tried on an illusion neckline and it gave me a rash in 2 minutes, it was also a size too small. I would try the runners stuff and wear your dress around the house and see if it works.

Thanks ladies! I love my dress and only hope that it doesn't irritate my skin too much on my wedding day. I think it just may be too tight. When I tired on a too big size in the store it didn't do it.

This dress is gorgeous!! I really wanted to do a neckline like this, but couldn't find one that didn't make me look like a linebacker lol. I've used something like that for a bridesmaid dress and it worked wonderfully! Also moisturizing your skin a lot will help too.

I've used Body Glide for years (runner!), and it does work, but purchase one of the dollar sized samples so that you can have it in your emergency kit, it does wear off. You might also try the liquid powder runners use, it smells nice and it seems to last longer (unless it's raining, then it sucks it hardcore).
